Lucas knocked on the door. Shaking. He had everything planned. Apologize. Don't expect a good reaction. Don't try to cry. Nobody opened the first go around so he knocks again.
"Coming! Coming!" A voice from inside says. He immediately recognized it.
"Max." He whispered. The door opened. The girl he fell in love with standing right next to the door. And immediately slams the door. "Shit!" Lucas says. He goes around the back to a window. And knocks on it. She looks at him and goes to the door. Lucas ran to the door and luckily she was standing right there in front of it. "Hi." He says.
"What do you want." Max says coldly.
"Can I come in?" Lucas ask. Damn this was awkward.
"Sure," she mumbles, "my dad isn't home so come on." He walks inside and takes off his shoes. While looking up at max. "What are you here for, Lucas? Stalking me?" She says.
"No! Not at all." He starts, "Max. I'm sorry. For everything. I hurt you. I was drunk. Completely. I don't know what I did and I was a piece of shit!" Lucas says, crying, but pulls himself together to continue, "Max. I know, sorry isn't going to cut it. And I know that you will probably never forgive me but please!" He screams, "Know that I never wanted to hurt you. I'm-"
"Stop." She says. "Listen, Lucas. I loved you. But something's happen for a reason. And Lucas, you were the only true person I could trust." She says, sobbing, she goes on but she realizes, he was an ass. Why should she have this sob story? So she raises her voice and says, "I FUCKING LOVED YOU! I TRUSTED YOU, CARED FOR YOU, WAS HONEST WITH YOU, AND YOU WERE ALL THAT I TRULY HAD, LUCAS!" She yells. And stops looks at him. Both sobbing. "I'm sorry but Lucas, please get out of my house..."
"Max please let me explai-" he says shaking.
"No." She says. "I deserve better. I think both of us need to get away from each other. Now." He gets his stuff and walks out. Crying. He gets on his knees on her lawn. And lets it all out. Crying. Screaming. Slapping himself. Blaming himself. Feeling guilty. He needed to do something. Max looking from outside her window. Right down at him. Crying. She knew, she loved him still. But she couldn't say it to him. Not know. And she was praying she will never. But they both knew, they wouldn't live without each other.
