Leah's POV

When it was announced that our chef had fallen ill and we would be dining with the USWNT, I honestly didn't think much of it. I was sat beside my normal group that I'd be with during camp. The food was amazing, I didn't have too much, as I didn't want to go to sleep too full or wake up in a bad way. I had just finished up my food when I look up and toward the doorway to see her. I didn't think I'd see Sophie this soon, Alex had told me that she had gone house hunting today and most likely wouldn't be coming to the visit their team tonight. As soon as Sophie lifted her head up, her eyes locked onto mine, almost as if they were magnets instantly being drawn toward each other. Our eye contact had held for a couple minutes until Sophie broke contact and turned towards Megan who looked like was grabbing her attention. As Sophie walked over to Megan, it was clear she had come to talk to Alex about something, it was something that went well because they had been hugging and jumping like little girls. I tried not to stare too long but it was hard not to, I messed up last night and really needed to speak to Sophie

Lucy

Leah? Are you alright?

*Looks towards the door*

Lucy

Oh

Georgia

Wow, you've got good taste

Leah

Yeah

Keira

Well then, are you going to speak to her or are you going to chicken out

Leah

I haven't even thought about what to say

Keira

You don't need to think about it, just say what you feel, and explained what really happened

Leah

And what if I mess that up as well

Keira

You probably will

Leah

And here I thought you were supposed to be my best mate and help, not scare me even more

Keira

You didn't let me finish, I was going to say you probably will but, you're human, not everything you do will be perfect

Lucy

She's got a point

Keira

Thank you

Leah

I don't know

Georgia

Look she's leaving

As soon as Georgia finished her sentence I turned my head up and saw that she was in fact leaving, and without a second thought, I stood up and went to follow Sophie, hoping to catch her before she left.

Leah

Hey can we talk?

Sophie

I'm sorry my car is parked in front and I was only supposed to be here for a few minutes
