Sophie's POV
It's the next morning, Monday, I left the beach house last night as planned wanting to give Leah some alone time with her family and friends. When I had spoken to her about me leaving for the night she was absolutely against the idea, but I insisted, and we ended up compromising on me leaving only after she had completely fallen asleep and coming back before noon the next day.
The first thing I do after showering and getting ready making myself a coffee and call my mom
Sophie
Good morning
Mom
You are so lucky that I'm already awake. Who wakes up this early willingly?
*Sophie chuckles*
Sophie
So many people actually. I'm actually surprised you're awake. I was trying my luck.
Mom
Your father woke me up it's hiking day, after all these years being married to that man you'd think that I'd be used to the time he takes to get ready
Sophie
Where are you guys going to today?
Mom
Hollywood trail starting at the observatory
Sophie
Oh wow very nice
Mom
What are your plans today?
Sophie
I don't exactly know I'm still thinking. Leah's family kind of dropped a bomb on us yesterday
Mom
What was it exactly ?
Sophie
They're all leaving tomorrow, all except Leah
Mom
Did they say why?
Sophie
Yeah, they said they wanted to give Leah and I time to ourselves before she leaves next week
Mom
Well that's a shame, but also extremely kind
Sophie
Yeah I feel really bad about it
Mom
Awh sweetie don't I'm sure the intentions are strictly positive
Sophie
