Sophies POV

I woke up today, in probably the happiest mood I've felt in such a long time. I woke up early, beginning to clean the house, so that there was nothing else that my parents, nor I needed to do. As soon as both my parents woke up, I asked them if we could have a conversation, one that I know one of them wouldn't take lightly. My mom cried, my dad looked like he was going to cry but didn't, and after a while of calming my mom down, they both said they knew that it was going to happen, and they both knew that it would happen sooner rather than later. The best part of the conversation was when I told them I was still going to be close, four streets over to be exact. Not long after my real estate agent come over and handed me the keys to my new house and after a short conversation she was gone. As soon my real estate agent left, I went back to my room and facetimed Alex

Sophie

I got them

*Shows keys*

Alex

Woooo!

Sophie

That's amazing soph!

Alex

So, when are you moving in?

Sophie

Tomorrow, I don't have much seeing as furniture is included and I don't have too much in my room, obviously I'll need to few some things but I have time

Alex

We have recovery tomorrow, so I'll see if I can swing by after but if not, definitely the day after since it's an off day

Sophie

Whenever, I'm just excited that we finally got to one of our dreams Alex

Alex

I know me too, it's been a long time but we did it

Sophie

We did

Alex

So how did your parents take it?

Sophie

Told them this morning, mom cried for a while, nearly the whole time, until I brought up how close it was to the house

Alex

I bet she did. And your dad?

Sophie

He was quiet at first but I know he's happy for me, he looked like he wanted to cry but –

Alex

But if you say anything he'll deny it

My parents have always supported me, be it relationships, sports, money, adventures, career, everything. My mom taking her place as the strict and 'think of it all the way through before making a decision' parent, while my dad, I told him my idea and found ways of helping me make it happen, he was partner in crime in any risk I decided on. Now don't get me wrong I love both my parents equally, my mom was my best friend, but I think me being the only girl, we just had this unexplainable bond, that no one understood or could ever break. So, his reaction to me moving out and buying a house was expected to me but I knew through a smile he sent me, he was happy for me.

Sophie

Exactly
