I watched Sun, slightly shielding Quinn, uncertain as to what made the bang. Sun's body lurched as he recognized the sound, he turned slightly to gaze at the door perplexed. His frills flitted in and out as he hesitantly made his way over to the locked doors, the bells of his outfit jingled as he stepped. He tilted his body to gaze through one of the large windows, faintly pressing his face on the glass that created a perimeter around the daycare. Once he appeared to recognize the cause he jumped back in a panicked state his frills retracted as he speedily, and silently waddled his way over to us.
"What's going on, Sun?" I inquired as he lifted both Quinn and I off the ground and away from the entrance of the daycare. He simply motioned with one of his fingers for us to stay hushed. His joints and gears squeaked as he darted across the room and over the bridge of the ball pit. The banging sound was repeated as it reverberated through the daycare, Sun startledly peered over his shoulder, and tossed Quinn and I into the ball pit. He stiffly motioned for us to hide beneath the surface of the plastic spheres as an unlocking mechanical sound echoed from the entryway of the Daycare. Sun hurriedly looked back and forth between us and the door before shaking it off and skipping back to the front of the daycare. He seemed to switch in an instant, attempting to hide his worried discomfort with the situation. As Sun left I made sure to cover Quinn so that he wouldn't be seen by whatever Sun seemed to be afraid of.
As Quinn and I sat surrounded by cold, static edged, multicolored, plastic spheres we could hear Sun's mechanical clicking amongst the silence of the room. Eventually as he continued to move ever so slightly, panicked ticks blatant in the stillness of the room, a set of footsteps seemed to emerge and clomp their way over towards him. Both Sun and the other figure seemed to stay silent for a minute or so before the other character made themselves known.
"Howdy do! My fellow superstar-" Sun started but was swiftly interrupted.
"Sun, what is going on! Why aren't you on your stage or at least in your dressing room! The motion triggers have been going off in the Daycare for hours!" The voice was female, and had a strange twinge to it, albeit a frustrated one.
"It's...I... well you see Vanessa, it's just that...!" Sun seemed to grasp at straws trying to find anything to convince the other person, but being unable to actually produce any form of answer. The woman seemed to sigh and angrily hiss under her voice. I did, note her name, and Sun's recognition of her.
"Sun, it's my job to make sure that everything is safe at night! If there's someone else here, you have to tell me! Especially if it's a child! You know that! I'm the security guard alongside you guys! I'm here to help, and need to be informed of any and all complications that come up!" Vanessa frustratedly flailed her arms, I couldn't actually see her from the bottom of the pit, but her flashlight's rays could be faintly seen in the light of the room as it flickered back and forth throughout the space, occasionally directed over Quinn and I's heads.
"Nope! It's all good here! Just cleaning up!" Sun chuckled anxiously, he wasn't doing a great job lying. It wasn't in his nature to anyways, he was even being faintly obvious when he was trying to convince me that Moon was someone to fear. I had to do something to help him, I mean after all I'm technically allowed to be here. It was just Quinn we had to worry about. Something in me was also just growing frustrated at how the supposed night guard was speaking to Sun, she put him in an worried state and that didn't sit well with me. So before Sun could say anything else, I quietly motioned for Quinn to stay quiet, no matter what, and stood up waving my keys above my head.
"I found them, Sun! My keys really were in the ball pit!" I flung myself over the edge of the ball pit as I pulled my body up onto the plastic bridge, my footer heavily banging on the material as I trodded my way over to the pair. Sun seemed to stiffen for a moment as he fiddled with his hands, although his body then seemed to relax slightly at my voice. As I neared I noted Vanessa's appearance in the luminosity of the room, her flashlight hardly doing anything in the bright lights of the daycare. She was a blonde with a mid high ponytail. She also owned a pair of elegant verdant green eyes. She was adorned in the Pizza Plex's security uniform, which was to be expected.
