"Come join us, y/n!" Sun cheered out to me from his position inside the makeshift castle. I shook my head a bit and sauntered my way over to the structure. I was still unsure about the rule regarding an abandoned child. Would I lose my job if I didn't comply? Where would I go? What would Sun do without me? More importantly, what would I do without Sun? He basically became the comfort in my life. I had only worked a total of two days max in the Pizzaplex, yet it feels as though he has become a center for me. His cheerful attitude and positivity aided my lesser feelings. Upon looking back I preferred staying at the Daycare rather than my apartment. I was forced out of my mental daze by the vivacity of Sun's voice.
"Quinn look! It's the beautiful Sunshine Demigod!" He outstretched his arms as he lifted Quinn up in his arms, he also emphasized Sunshine as he spoke. Quinn had somehow gained a small, golden paper crown and a red cape.
"But, oh no! They've been cursed by the night!" Sun gasped and his frills quickly retracted slightly in fear, similarly to how a cat's ears tend to flick backwards when spooked. I was at first displaced by his sentence, but soon realized that he was trying to get me to play along.

"Please help me!" I cried out, "I am haunted by the darkness! It tells me to destroy the castle and steal the king's crown!" I wasn't entirely sure about the plot, but whatever. "I can't control it!" I knocked off one of the foam pieces of the building. I made sure that it was one that wouldn't cause detriment to the structural integrity of it's already wobbly stature.

"Noo! How do we help!" Quinn tugged at Sun's pants with a hint of fear and concern in his voice. Qinn's voice had the same rapture as that of the soft fur on a bunny rabbit. It was soft and delicate, I fully noted its eloquence in that moment.

"We have to catch them and give them lots of hugs!" Sun chimed out, "it's the only way!" They both slowly turned to look at me, and rather than getting a lighthearted feeling, I got a spine chilling one. I came to the conclusion that it would be a game of cat and mouse instead of a playful chase. I turned and bolted the opposite direction, swooping through a couple of the play structures. As I hastened my way as far as I could from the two I was haunted by their oddly terrifying laughs. I don't know if it was the game itself which sparked this perception or if it was the simple fact of being chased and my fight or flight kicking in. Adrenaline was streaming through my veins as I recognized Sun's metallic shifting noises coming closer. He was undoubtedly faster than Quinn, considering Quinn's legs were less than half of what Sun's were. Trying to form a plan of escape, I decided the ballpit was the best option, other than leaving the Daycare entirely, but it was just a game after all. The only downside was I was to the left of the main entrance. Which was basically the opposite of where I wanted to be. Sprinting through the main area of the Daycare I could see Sun skipping after me, from the side of the play structure with Quinn struggling to keep up. Since Sun was on the outside edge I figured it was safe to make a break for it through the center of the Daycare. I started off at full force and was mainly focused on running. I turned my head back for a second as I ducked under the rope bridge that connected the two structures to one another. What I didn't recognize at that time was Sun's incredible speed on the play areas.

Everything happened in what felt like slow motion. As I lifted my head to continue my way towards the ballpit; I saw Sun's arms fall downwards towards my shoulders as he hung over the bridge backwards. He used me as a sort of sling and flipped his lower half off of the bridge and used the impact of my body to send us spiraling forward. He had caught me fair and square and refused to release me when I tried to wiggle out of his arms. He tightened them around me until Quinn hobbled his way over, still gasping for air.

"Yay! You caught them!" He huffed, "The trick was amazing!" Quinn stretched his arms out wide as to express his excitement and surprise.

"Thanks! But first we have to remove the darkness from our demigod here!" Sun shifted his head to look down at me as Quinn waddled his way over and joined the hug. It was rather comforting, although it was still offset by the shock that was induced by Sun's sudden actions. I also reflected on Sun's recent choice of words. I shook it off and continued to play along with the little game
