He comes first;
treat him as such.
You must swoon
at his every touch.
Bring him his coffee.
Serve him his plate.
Under no circumstances
are you to make him wait.
Keep him close.
Follow his eyes.
If you dress to impress,
he won't need to lie.
Love him in good times;
hold him through bad.
Never let him doubt you,
and don't go to bed mad.
When you truly see him,
see the boy inside,
Do remind yourself
that he is a good guy.
Love him good,
love him true,
And he'll prove his love
is only meant for you.
These are the lessons
you must never forget
So you can be happy
and love with no regret.
