Lily rushed me down the stairs and as we reached the bottom she stopped dead in her tracks. "Shit! The grand entrance!"
I giggled, confused. "The what?"
She shrugged in disappointment. "You know. You're supposed to walk down the stairs all elegant-like and the boys gawk at your beauty and the fact that you're sex on legs right now." She said in a very "duh" but bummed out tone.
I pushed her arm playfully. "I wouldn't have done that anyways. Come on."
She smiled as she half ignored me and looked out the window by the front door we stood at. Her smile grew. "Ha! This will work too."
She turned to me. "Count to 10 before you exit this door. Hear me?!" Lily and her mom voice are very hard to be intimidated by.
But I played along, nodding with a shrug. Then I realized she was going to make me do this alone.
As my face dropped with the realization, she gave one nod and an excited squeal while swiftly walking through the front door. Right before the door closed I let out a loud "Wait! No! What the fuc-!"
I let out a breath and began counting. "One, two, three, four- This is stupid." Whispering to no one.
I grabbed the handle and opened the door. I shuffled into my bag and took my key out to lock it...not very gracefully I might add.
As I turned around, while putting my key back in my bag; I froze as I glanced up finally.
Next to a large white hummer limo, stood all of the boys wearing nicer outfits than usual but not too fancy, thank god. Katie was amongst them wearing a skimpy, but cute black dress; her usual party attire.
Lily was still walking down the walkway towards them. The boys made noises at her jokingly. And as they made eye contact with me, Cole and Danny whistled and whooped playfully. Nasty boys.
Cove and my brother didn't mutter a word, they stood silently and stared at me. As she watched the boys look past her, she swiveled around and gaped at me.
"Bitch I told you to wait!" She scolded playfully.
I smiled now at her, and the boys reactions. I walked until I caught up with her and we were almost at the limo now. "Fuck that! I need alcohol!" I laughed out.
"This is going to be a long night." Jax let out a sigh and rubbed his temples at my alcohol need.
Cove was still silent. Awkward almost.
Danny held a hand out to me in a playful manner, bowing, and I placed my hand in his. He brought it to his lips and kissed it. "Happy sweet 18th m'lady."
I rolled my eyes. "Still not a thing, but thank you." I added with a smile.
Everyone gave me a little happy birthday wish, but still, Cove didn't mutter a word. Staring at me.
I finally felt the confidence from this damn dress and walked up to him, while everyone else piled into the limo.
"Cove." I greeted.
"Riverlynn." He greeted back finally with a small smirk. I couldn't help but think, God I love it when he says my name like that.
"Why so quiet?" I teased.
He rubbed the back of his neck and I noticed a small box in his other hand as I spoke. He glanced down at it as well, noticing I noticed it.
"Happy birthday, princess" He held the box out to me and shrugged. Everyone cheered for us to hurry up and join them in the Limo. "Open it in the limo, come on." Nodding his head toward the door as the last of the group climbed in.
