Later that night I was in my room struggling to find something to wear. What the hell was I supposed to wear to a party at my own house?
A knock on my window snapped me out of my thoughts.
I went over to my window and opened it without even looking. I knew who was there; the only human to ever knock on my window or climb through it.
He climbed in without hesitation and let out a sigh. "What in the world are you doing?"
I glanced at him as I rummaged through my closet more. "I.." I was getting frustrated now. I let out a groan and threw one of the sweaters I had in my hand onto the ground. "I don't know what I'm supposed to wear to a stupid party. Why did I agree to having a party at my own house? That's so dumb of me. I mean it's just a few of us right? It's not going to be a big party?" I was breathing heavily. "That's what Jax said, but I don't really believe him. I have nothing to wear. I feel like a grumpy child. This-"
I turned to him and stopped mid word. He had a confused expression plastered on his face along with a small smile as he watched me. He nodded a few times slowly then quickly said, "You're not a child and it's not going to be a huge party, don't worry."
I turned back around exasperatedly and continued my rant as his helpful words told me i'm actually crazy.
"Okay then I shouldn't have to wear a dress. Or should I still because it's a fucking party? I don't know because I don't do these things. And now here I am standing in my bedroom, ranting to you who climbed through my window, ruining my nicely organized closet all because of a small fucking party and I'm so stupid that I can't find a fucking outfit. Why am I telling this to you? I barely know you and you just sit there doing your stupid smirk thing and Lily warned me about it too like I don't already kno-"
I was basically panting when Cove cut me off. "Fucks sake Princess! What is happening right now?" He let out the laugh that he was holding back. I let out a short sigh of embarrassment as he walked towards me. He grabbed my wrists gently, and looked down at the bunched up clothes I was holding in each hand. "Drop."
He looked back up at my face expectantly. I huffed out some air and then dropped the clothes I was holding in defeat. He really used a dog command and it worked. Fuck me.
"Okay. Now first of all, whats this about Lily warning you about something? um- what did you call it? My 'stupid smirk'" He chuckled.
My cheeks grew hot and I glanced around trying to avoid his stare. "Oh I don't-know-I just-" I wanted to change the subject so I sighed. "What do girls normally wear to parties?"
He grinned knowing full well I avoided his question. "Not much."
I took my wrists from his hands and smacked his chest playfully with a frown. "Not helpful." I couldn't keep the hushed laugh inside at his words though.
"Okay, okay." He walked towards my closet. "I'm not about to be good at this, but..." He trailed off as he went through my clothes. Eventually he pulled out a really cute white crop top that had a few long horizontal holes cut into it to show off my cleavage and stomach area.
"Here. This and whatever pants go with this that you have I guess." He looked proud of himself and I giggled at that.
"Huh. This it actually cute. Thank you." I finally breathed out.
I went into my bathroom and changed after I grabbed a pair of my favorite army green cargo pants and white nike shoes.
When I emerged, Cove was sitting on my bed going through his phone. I should have been surprised that he was still there, but like I said; It's like this is the everyday-normal.
