SEASON 1 EPISODE 5 PART 2/2: Macguffin

Larry covered the mic and turned to Kayla, "Told you nothing bad was gonna happen."

Larry suddenly spotted a penny that was heads up, "Ooo, lucky penny." They bent down to pick it up when there was a zap sound and electrical buzz. They bent back up, pocketing the penny. The power went out then came back on. Larry turned to see a giant blast in the circuit breaker to the museum. Larry sniffed the air, "I know that magical blast anywhere. Kevin?!"

Kevin stepped forward, two magical balls ready to throw, "Larry, so we meet again."

"I think at this point it's just stalking."

The mayor gave a sigh of relief, "At least we have a backup generator, so this villain cannot steal the jewel."

"Jewel? I'm here for something more valuable. The heads of the Superb Spies."

The power suddenly went out. Everyone was frantic. There was the crash of glass. A helicopter slowly flew overhead. A news helicopter with a spotlight. The room became partially illuminated. A figure stood by the now empty case of the jewel. They had a drawstring bag.

"The Shadow has the Sypherion Jewel!" Cried the Mayor.

Larry prepared to fight, "I don't know who you are, but I do know that you stole the shiny rock."

The Shadow turned to Larry, speaking in a familiar voice through her mask, "Yes, and what are you gonna do about it?"

"Um... damnit."

The Shadow took out a grappling hook and shot it upwards. It wrapped around the helicopter's landing skids. She clasped the drawstring bag and began to be lifted up.

Larry looked around frantically. Kevin shot a magic blast at them and Larry flew into the pillar that had held up the Sypherion Jewel. The lucky penny fell out of Larry's pocket, "That's it! Toy Story style!"

Larry used the light from the helicopter spotlight to bounce off the penny and shine in The Shadow's eye. She shrieked in pain from the flash of bright light and dropped the drawstring bag. Natalie ran to catch the jewel, but the bag slammed into Kevin. Natalie hurried to make sure the jewel was intact, but there was only a dumbbell with glitter on it.

The Shadow laughed as she flew off in the helicopter, "Better luck next time, sweetheart!"

Larry was awestruck, "We lost? That doesn't seem right." Larry took out the Story Map, "I knew it. We get redemption next episode." The lights flickered on. The guests lined the walls. Kevin and Larry stood at the center of the room.

Kayla and Natalie stood next to the empty case for the Sypherion Jewel. Natalie pushed Kayla forward, "Everyone! Run!"

The guests stampeded out. Kevin turned to the fleeing spectators then turned to Larry. A penny flew into his eye, "Shit!" He stumbled back and fell to the floor. He shot a magic blast towards Larry, but Larry swerved. Kevin struggled then yelled in pain. His eyes became consumed by black. His eyes returned to normal, but his pupils were now purple, "Upgrade."

Larry stood in a doorway, "I like that song, too."

Kevin blasted the wall next to the doorway and began to float, "Larry... you're screwed." Kevin pursued Larry into the hallway. Larry looked around frantically as Kevin flew across the hallway. Kevin grew closer, "Larry, it's over."

Larry shot his firework flare gun at Kevin who caught it, "Enough of this shit!"

Larry smirked, "It's a gag, dimwit." Larry shot their grappling hook which hit Kevin in the face, "My bad. I should really stop using this." Larry jumped over Kevin's body that lay on the floor.

Kayla and Natalie helped the last person out of the museum turned into a battleground. Kayla took a mace that hung on the wall, "Larry owes me big time."

Larry then sped around a corner, "Run guys! He's flying now!"

Kevin flew around the corner. Kayla swung the mace and threw it. Kevin used his magic to create a shield temporarily. The mace flew into the floor, barely in front of Larry. Larry jumped over the cracked floor, "What next?! Are you gonna lift buildings?"

Kevin remained serious, summoning a spear from a glass case, "This shit enough of my energy." He flung the spear at Larry. The spear caught Larry by the end of their shirt. Larry slipped and fumbled on the floor, trying to escape from the spear.

Kevin floated down to Larry and created a bubble to keep our Kayla and Natalie, "End of the line. Say hello to my bank account." Kevin prepared a large blast to take out Larry once and for all.

Larry closed their eyes then heard a thud. Kevin was on the floor and the bubble was gone. Natalie ran to help Larry. Larry grunted as they got up, "Well, he spoiled his own demise. Overworking. I think we all learned very valuable lessons today."

Kayla looked at Larry skeptically, "Kayla, you learned that sometimes violence doesn't solve every problem. And Natalie, you learned that heroes don't always win."

Natalie counted with her fingers, "Wait, what did you learn Larry?"

"Oh, I didn't learn shit."

Suddenly, the pipes burst from the walls that had been blasted by Kevin. The room began to flood. Natalie groaned, "Nuts! My dress! It's the only one I could find with pockets!"

The Next Day...

Jessie and James pulled up to a building. They entered, flashing their badges, "We're here to detain the Superb Spies."

Gene Eric looked at them blankly, "This is a Dry Cleaners."

Jessie saw Natalie's dress hung on a rack, "C'mon James."

The agents sat in their car. Jessie sighed, "I put the tracker in the back pocket of her dress."

"I guess you could say that you like touching women's asses."

"James. Have I ever told you how unfunny you are? Like it's remarkable the level of humor you lack."

"Yeah, but you still love me don't you."

Jessie sighed and they drove off.

Across the city...

Kevin awoke in a dumpster behind the museum, "Shit. I blacked out again."

At Kevin's base...

Kevin sighed. There was a large white board. Drawn images of the Sypherion Jewel. People in rabbit masks. The words High Society circled.

Kevin was then struck by a massive migraine. He hit his watch and rolled on his wheeled chair across the room to a foam cup filled with water. He picked up a medicine container, but it was empty. He scrolled down on his phone and hit a button labeled SOS.

Kevin turned the white board so the front now faced the wall. His right hand jerked forward and grabbed a red marker, "No! I don't want to go back! I just wanted to see my nephew!"

The hand began to write on the board, Get the Superb Spies and the Jewel. Kevin smiled, "What a great plan, Me."
