why don't you just stay?

Y/N's pov:

Today was the first time we had been able to see each other for several weeks. We were both too busy to do anything, only because our jobs didn't leave us any free time. Let's just say that it wasn't in our habits, we usually see each other several times a week.

Hailee and I have been friends for 3 years already, but we have a pretty special friendship. When I say that, I mean physical contact. We both need each other. It wasn't too much at first, but now it's like we both feel better when we have it. All of this has led me to have a bit of a crush on her, which I'm not ashamed to admit. It's not like I don't like the situation that we're in and I know that she likes it too.

Throughout the evening, during our movie marathon, we would look in each other's eyes intensely, sharing smiles and always lay on top of each other. Currently, we are both under the covers of Hailee's bed watching a movie. I am leaning on the back of the bed and she has her head on my chest with her legs intertwined in mine. I couldn't be more comfortable, but the constant butterflies in my stomach aren't helping though. I could see her blushing every time she looked up and noticed that I was still staring at her, admiring the perfect features of her face. Those kinds of moments are my favorite.

Quickly, I look at the time on my watch. I'm supposed to leave at around 12am to prevent me from having to drive too late at night.

"00:30. Shit I better get going, it's already super late and I hate driving too late at night." I tell her while kindly trying to remove myself from under her and the sheets.

"Why don't you just stay?" she asks me, stoping me from getting out of bed.

"Oh Hailee that's sweet of you but I wouldn't want to bother you." I reply, hoping in my mind that she'll beg me to stay. I need that. I need her.

"You're never a bother y/n. I actually really want you to stay here tonight, if you want of course." she says.

"Yeah I'd really like that." I reply, copying the same smile she gave me.

We both went in the bathroom at the same time to brush our teeth and remove our makeup before getting ready to go back to bed. We were already in our pjs, so we didn't need to change.

I crawl first under the covers and, when I'm finally back in my initial position, I stretch my arms wide open, signalling her to come back on top of me. She doesn't waste a second and almost jumps onto me, still intertwining her legs between mine. We both sigh of comfort when we finally feel each other's needed touch. God those butterflies.

Before I close the lamp, she raises her head to look at me, again with that same stare that could make me get lost in those deep hazel eyes.

"You don't have anything tomorrow right?" she asks me. That proves that she still wishes to spend the day with me tomorrow, which I find cute.

"No worries boo, I'm all free tomorrow. All for you." I reply, not giving a single care about that risky answer.

"Well you officially aren't free anymore, you've got plans with me." she says with a small but the cutest giggle.

"I'm not complaining." I tell her, making her smile before getting her head back on my chest. I turn off the lamp and put my arms around her body. She let out a sigh that I could feel on my chest. I wanted to make her feel safe in my arms, and it worked like a charm.

"Goodnight y/n" she says calmly.

"Goodnight boo, sleep well." I answer, giving her a soft kiss on her forehead. Gosh I can't wait for tomorrow.
