Scarlet found Grimm after Grimm on his side of the academy.
Nonetheless, he had easily burnt them away one after the other, flames both orange and blue burning out wave after wave of Grimm.
He helped students and staff escape the left end of the academy, helping them fight off the never-ending spawn of Grimm the Wyvern dropped on them.
At one point he spies Pyrrha Nikos and Jaune Arc in the center of the academy, Pyrrha kisses Jaune before launching him away in a weapons locker, sending him to safety, and rushing herself into the tall tower.
He was tempted to run after her, find out what she was up to but on the other side of the central courts he saw something else.
Lumen, and he was fighting two white fang grunts and....
Oh no, it was the Red Haired man that had slaughtered his family.
Scarlet needed to get down to help his brother, but as he started to run down the hall, the roof shook and started to collapse, as the large Wyvern knocked yet another tower above him down.
Scarlet ran and ran, dodging and ducking as debris fell around him before he jumped out the window clearing the building.
Rolling clear of the dust and ruins, Scarlet was now blocked off from a quick path to Lumen, he would have to go around the courtyard to get back from the other side, retracing his steps from where he started.
With an annoyed sigh, Scarlet ran back the way he came, hoping his brother would keep his cool long enough for him to arrive.—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I swear these Viper Goons were heavily loaded up on some enhancement drugs.
Every move I made, enhanced with speed and strength they easily countered.
The White-haired Viper goon dashed at me with his mace, wild dangerous blows directed at my head. I deflected each one grunting from the force and effort.
As I held him in place during a counter block, I noticed the pupils in his eyes had become wider and there was a green misty glow around them.
Was this some form of semblance increasing his speed and strength like mine?
I knocked him back with a powerful kick to the chest, only for his black-haired twin to jump in his place, the same sort of attack, just as powerful.
His eyes were the same.
Countering the Black Viper, I leaped back and assessed my opponents again.
Both had a green mist in their eyes and both seemed incredibly strong and fast.
So what was I missing?
Wait they never attacked at the same time!
The realization hit me as the White Viper attacked, only for me to sidestep his charge and throw a blade directly at his twin's face.
Black Viper dodged to the side, the Green mist appearing in his eyes and a cocky laugh slipping out his mouth.
Only to be cut off as he beheld my second blade appearing in the White Vipers' back.
The moment I had thrown the first blade I had spun and stabbed my second one directly into the White Vipers' back.
I had theorized that they had a combo semblance, usually only found in twins, that allowed one Viper to use the strength of both of them as long as they attacked individually.
So while I had distracted one of them, I had taken out the second.
White Viper collapsed to the floor dead, making Black Viper roar in anger.
I shook my finger no at him, as he readied to charge me again, and my gloved glowed purple.
A confused look crossed over Black Viper's face, which turned out to be the last look he would ever pull, as my blade I had thrown before was summoned back by my Gravity dust gauntlet, rising in a horizontal line and slicing Black Viper's head off cleanly.
I caught my blade and turned towards Jack Pythor.
He had been leaning against a pillar watching the whole fight with a cruel smile and was now clapping slowly in applause.
"Well done Young Shadow" he mocked, "It seems you have become quite the skilled killer, say I could use a man of your skill?"
I scowled at him readying my blades again, "Like hell I would, I don't kill for fun, I kill cause I have to in order to protect those who are innocent".
Jack laughed at my words, anger, and disgust at him brewing deep inside of me.
"Let's get this over with," I say darkly as I take my first swing at him with my blades.
He easily raises his own blade to deflect my attack, his cruel blue eyes staring into my dark drown ones as our fight begins.
