"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

~NANA~

By approximately one hour and thirty minutes later tossing around, my bedroom door was invaded by a loud barge in and I stared at the terrible images before me as a fist of laughter threatened to burst forth. If I wasn't in a foul mood, I would have laughed my lungs out.

I let out a peal of ear-piercing laughter as I couldn't hold the build-up any longer.

My three best friends stood before me gasping for air. My eyes darted from Cynthia to Becky for a short while before I diverted them to Rosy suspiciously.

Rosy had an odd color combination on her face which could be termed as makeup but only made her look like a Halloween doll decorated by numerous shades of eye shadows.

Cynthia might have forgotten to put on her wig as she never goes anywhere without one which makes her natural hair in disheveled form, she appeared like a partially new madwoman, I was trying everything within my power to contain myself from exploding into laughter. They all look like clowns.

Becky happens to be the only decently dressed among them except for the shoes in her hands as though she just ran a marathon judging from her unsteady breathing.
The four of us have been friends since childhood and our friendship has grown over the years into an inseparable bond. We are more like sisters.

Let's do a proper introduction:

Meet Rosy May: 'May' is curled from her surname Mayowa. She is a famous runway model a top-notch fashion designer in the country and a TV presenter with more than a million watch talk shows on fashion. She is the life of every party and gathering. The humor plug of our friendship. She's behind the crazy adventures we've ever embarked on, they never end well but it's always worth the fun and the try.

Becky is a criminology doctor and a psychologist. She believes in balancing everyone's life. She is the partially sane one among us plus myself (lol) she'd take it upon herself to keep us in check and balance. Without her, we'd gone off the lines severally.

And Cynthia is the only female lawyer that has become a household name in the country with a clear record of never losing a case. The law-reciting citizen yet enjoys breaking a few laws herself (secretly though) but we can't sell her ass out to the public. She owns a nongovernmental organization that promotes women's rights in the country. A realist to the core and a no-nonsense lady.

Now that's out of the way, let's go continue.

"You all look..." I hesitate a bit, "Like there are ants in your pants" I eye them curiously.

"All thanks to you my dear one; when you hear fire on the mountain, I doubt anyone would have the luxury to think of how appealing their appearance is" Becky let out eyeing me angrily.

"Before I skin you alive, start talking! What warrants such urgency from your text? The text sounded like you're about to jump off the cliff, we had to race down here like some mad dogs on the loose. Also, may I warn you that attempting suicide in this country is punishable by law and you will be serving a year jail sentence if caught" Cynthia uttered groggily sending me a worried look as she leaned on the door frame, Rosy and Becky sat on the bare floor.

"Hold up! Me? Are you wishing death on me?" I asked looking them over one after the other.

"Let me get this straight, miss" Cynthia started pulling up a bit from the doorframe eyeing me maliciously - "You pull me out of my busy schedules and you're not dying? I should have known!" She threw her hands in exasperation and I nodded in confirmation dispelling the obnoxious idea in their head.
