Just friends on a holiday

Chapter 6

We were taken to our rooms by the hotel porter Anubis Castellin. He had spiky jet black hair and freckles all over is face. He looked quite young around 20 and seemed to be enjoying his job. He took us up a flight of stairs after some begging from me. I still wouldn't forget about what happened to Su li and Teddy. We got to the 3rd floor and stepped into the hallway. The floor was carpeted in the colour blue and lots of different paintings were hung up on the wall. We walked down the hall to a door which had 90 engraved onto a golden plaque. "This is mrs and mr Mountfitchet's room and here is the key. I will take these young adolescents to there rooms." With that he passed a copper key to Uncle Felix and headed off. I could see Daisy was very impressed with this man because he didn't call us children. George looked very fond of this man and Alexander's eyes glistened in the sunlight peeking through the curtained windows. His hair glistened and I noticed he had some grass in it. I reached out my hand and picked the grass out of his hair he looked at me and mouthed ' thank you' and I beamed at him. Suddenly Anubis stopped in front of two rooms. "Room 84 for miss Daisy and Hazel and room 85 for mr George and Alexander.Here are your keys. I will be going."

"Thank you." I said. I looked down and saw the key. It was a copper colour with the number 84 painted on the head of the key in a gold paint slowly chipping away. Metal leaves danced around the edge of the key head. What a dainty key I thought.

"Shall we get inside then Hazel. I cant stand having to stand here looking at nothing !" 

"Yes Daisy." We went into our room and I couldn't help gasping as I stepped inside. The room was a light blue colour with pink flowers near the ceiling , blowing in the wind. Their were two beds both big and spacious. A chandelier hung from the ceiling.And a balcony. A balcony with the view of the sea. A balcony with 2 deck chairs and a round coffee  table in-between. I couldn't help myself. I ran up to the balcony ,opened the French doors and ran outside .The  view was amazing.The  sea twinkled and I saw some boats bobbing on the water's surface. I noticed that George and Alexander's room was next to ours and the French doors were open. I could hear George saying something to Alexander.

" It's so obvious Alex. You need to tell her!"

"What do you mean? Plus you won't understand."

I realised that there was a small ledge between the two balconies so , being very Daisy-ish , I stepped onto the ledge being careful my dress didn't get caught on anything. Lucky my feet were still small so I could still stand on the ledge with ease. I carefully sidestepped across the ledge and jumped over the railing of George and Alexander's balcony.I peaked my head and saw Alexander run his hand threw his hair looking embarrassed. Alexander noticed me and gasped causing George to turn around then smiling.

"Hello Hazel! How did you here?"

"Oh, quite simple actually. I jumped over our balcony railing and there was a ledge so I walked on that, with my feet being small it was quite easy, and then jumped over your balcony railing."

"Wow! Hazel you've changed so much since the orient express!"

"Is that a bad thing."I asked.

"No not at all!!Its just you've become so brave."

"Thank you ." I said blushing . I looked about George and Alexander's room and saw it was like mine and Daisy's but a light green with blue flowers.

"HAZELLL!!! WERE ARE YOU? WE NEED TO GET READY FOR DINNER! ARE YOU TALKING TO ALEXANDER AGAIN?" I heard footsteps then a banging on the door. George rushed to open it and the figure of a very puzzled Daisy stood at the doorway. "Hazel! How did you get there? What ever! Come on we need to get ready for dinner."

"Yes Daisy." I headed out and Alexander put a note in my hand. I looked back at him and stuffed it in my pocket.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I had a 1024 word chapter but for some reason it was deleted! I have been really busy as well so that is also why it is such a long time for me to update. I have started another book as well so I will update that as well.
