ELECTRIFIED unagi*.

A nice meal to eat by a fire and listen to others talk, with rice and pickles, usually, but neither of us had any.

Nor did we have a normal fire, the current one was a vibrant purple, fuelling off of the dry twigs we'd all put together, even Tama had collected a few. The kitten was wandering between the two of us and in the surrounding area, nearing the sea and running back when the waves brushed on the shore.

Tomo had an unexpected and rather surprising proficiency in electrifying unagi to make it taste grilled, his control over elemental energy was spectacular. It made me wonder if I could do the same with my vision if I infused my ameno energy with pyro. Tama was a skilled unagi hunter to match, bringing back her successful hunts to Tomo before being showered in positive affection for it and setting back out. He was smart to train a cat like this, I wasn't even aware it was possible to command them.

As Tomo sparked the flame, Tama created a collection of red, blue, yellow and dark blue banded eels slowly adding up. Some were still alive.

He had been educating me on the different elements and their reactions, the only one I could create was 'Swirl', but he assured me it was nothing to be ashamed about, I was merely disappointed. With some sparks of his vision, I was able to witness an electro-charged reaction. The elements of the world are all so interesting, it inspired me to study my own. I tried to conjure a gust, though it came out as nothing but a small breeze. Much to my dismay, Tomo had laughed at my attempt, and upon seeing my displeasure comforted me and told me I'd get better with time.

Before long, we had finished cooking (if you could call it cooking) the unagi, sitting down to eat. Tama was given 2 of her eels, much to her delight.

"First, we take care of your injuries, then we should get you a good weapon. With the Sakoku Decree, it might be difficult for you to get one right away." He spoke through a mouthful of food, mannerless, standard for a ronin. I watched him carefully, keeping my skewed unagi close by. I was hit by the urge to hoard any food in my line of sight,  I stared at his stick, the desire that merely washed over me now drowning me. I hoped Tomo wouldn't finish all of his so I could take it.
