"YOU damn... you've got some nerve..." I heard a voice shout, even from the grips of sleep it reached the deepest crevice in my ear. Perhaps I was exaggerating, but whoever it was, it was irritating, "A lot of nerve for a so-called 'man' without a name!" How offending to Tomo.

"Please, we need to get to the Kujou territory. Can't you just give us a lift? I'll treat you to dinner when we meet again." That was Tomo's voice, "And lower your voice, you'll wake her up."

"Wake the damn woman up!" He roared, "Get her up, c'mon boy!" I was already awake, but I heard the crunching of footsteps. So that's what his steps sounded like, heavy like thunder but, lifting off the ground, the sound was sharp like lightning.

After a few seconds, I felt a hand ghost over my body. My eyes shot open and I stared at Tomo, I focused my eyes on his own, watching him intently. He retreated his hand quickly, in shock, I deduced, "Oh, good you're awake." Tama slipped out of his haori, it covered my body and smelt of him. It probably mingled with my scent as the cat began meowing and rubbing against my face.

"How could I not be with all that noise," I grumbled, sitting up, it was unusual to see Tomo without his haori on, his nagagi sleeves were still too long to get another glimpse of those bandages. I tried not to shed any tears at the mind-numbing ache I felt. I was getting worse, and growing somewhat used to the pain wasn't a good sign, though it was helpful. I needed to get it together, just a bit longer.

"This is Tsuyoshi, he drives waveriders. We're... somewhat familiar with each other." He introduced the stout middle-aged man, I scrutinised him. His skin was tanned and his moustache was unkempt. He was bald and had dark brown eyes. He was a good few inches shorter than Tomo.

He wore a standard beige v-neck shirt and navy shorts. Quite the unadorned appearance, though, most sailors adopted this style from before I was taken. Perhaps things hadn't changed as much as I assumed.

"I'm [F/n]." I introduced myself.

"What name have you given him?"

"Tomo."

The man was unimpressed, "Tomo!" He exclaimed, "Are you serious? Archons have mercy upon our youth." He paused and shot a dirty look Tomo's way, "I can't blame you. He's irresponsible, nothing better than a distant friend."
