Night in The Mall ~ A Karlnap and Dreamnotfound Short Story

This was supposed to be a short story but now it's 42 minutes long 💀

Karl POV:

I can hear the glass shards hitting the ground, breaking at the pressure. Each piece lets out a screeching note, stringing together a bunch of inconsistent music. I shut my eyes tight, scared that at any moment I may break my fall, and land on the hard marbled ground.

My eyes are clenched so tight tears start to spill out. Due to that and the fact that my life may shatter like the glass before my eyes.

Suddenly a grip pulls me with enough momentum to bring me back up. Sapnap. He brings me up and hugs his arms around me, making sure there was no possible way for me to fall. I open my eyes and we both watch the remainder of the glass fall. Most of the glass had been ruined, but that didn't matter to me.

"Sapnap..."

I say breathlessly.

He brings me away from the edge, then releases me from his arms. I look into his eyes lovingly, as he averts all gaze.

"I..."

He trembles and stutters over his words. It seems like everything he wants to say doesn't come out. I nod my head, encouraging him to speak.

"Listen I know you probably don't want to talk to me right now. So I'm just gonna go..."

He slowly turns around and starts walking away. I stand there in shock. How could he not give himself any credit for just saving me!

"Wait!"

He stops in his tracks and turns around. I walk up to him and pause, once again looking into his eyes before saying anything.

"I'm sorry. I really just let everything get on my nerves! You weren't even that rude now that I think about it. I'm really sorry and I'm not mad at you! So just please- stay!" 

A grin creeps it's way onto the raven's lips. His smile makes me smile as well. Sapnap takes a step closer to me, bringing a warm flush to my lips.

"It's okay. I really was being a bit annoying so, I get it! But I think you deserve an apology from me too."

His smile grows ever so slightly, making me confused.

"An apology for what? We already discussed about you being kind of rude?"

"Yeah but have we talked about the car?"

I freeze. His hand makes its way up to caress my chin. His fingers then move up to my ear. Could this be it?

He leans in with a smug expression, knowing I'm freaking out inside.

Our lips finally meet, fireworks going off in my stomach. It doesn't even feel like fireworks it feels like rockets! His smooth lips press against mine. Pixar and Disney kisses could have never prepared me for this moment! I return the same amount of pressure onto his lips. Our chaste kiss soon comes to an end.

We both back out of the kiss with silly smiles pasted on our faces. Sapnap locks his hand with mine and starts walking. I follow.

"Now come on, lets go find George and Dream!"
