"Could you shut him up?" Kugisaki Nobara hissed at her fellow first year. Itadori shoved both of his hands deep into his pockets, but the muffled laughter still made people turn and stare at them.

"I don't know what is so funny," Itadori whispered back, inching closer to Nobara. The train jostled on the road slightly and Itadori stumbled into a rather annoyed-looking Megumi.

"We aren't supposed to draw attention to ourselves, you know that, right?" Megumi grumbled. Itadori pouted.

"It's not my fault. I don't even know what was so funny anyway." Itadori whined. Finally, the laughter died down and Itadori tentatively pulled his hands out of his pockets. Sukuna's mouths had disappeared and all that remained was just his smooth skin. "

You're going to have to do a better job of keeping him quiet if..." Megumi began before clamping his mouth shut and averting his gaze. Itadori forced a smile while his stomach flipflopped.

"Yeah, I got it Fushiguro." Itadori laughed off, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

The rest of the train ride continued with an uncomfortable silence. The topic of Itadori's inevitable execution always seemed to sour any conversation. It was the elephant in the room no matter where Itadori went or how hard he tried to separate himself from the king of curses. There were scars, both mental and physical, that he could easily spot on both Fushiguro and Kugisaki. He would just have to do better at keeping the memories they would keep of him would be of him and not soured by Sukuna.

They all stepped off the train two stops later and stood in front of a rather sad and dilapidated hotel. Nobara looked as if she was seconds away from finding the next bus back to Jujutsu High and chewing out Gojo-sensei.

"Is this...really where he expects us to stay?" Nobara said through gritted teeth. Itadori agreed with the sentiment. At this point, they should know better than to get excited whenever their teacher sends them somewhere "nice" for a mission.

"It's what it says on Gojo's email," Megumi said, flipping through their email on his phone. He looked around for a moment before sighing, seeming to confirm their suspicions. It seemed as if Satoru Gojo got them a hotel room at the worst place in this entire beautiful city.

"I bet even curses don't want to stay here!" Nobara continued. Megumi's eyebrow twitched. He wasn't exactly happy either, but having the constant whining was definitely not helping.

"Maybe we could say that it was destroyed and get a place elsewhere," Itadori said, taking a few steps closer to the building. He knocked on a few places on the outer walls. "It wouldn't take much. It's not even reinforced concrete."

"What part of 'discreet' do you not understand, Itadori?" Megumi huffed, pinching the bridge of his nose again. He could feel a headache forming and he honestly just wanted to get Sukuna's finger and get the hell out of here. It was way too busy around here and these two idiots were drawing way too much attention to them.

Megumi carefully made his way up the stairs towards the lobby, carefully stepping over strange stains and rat droppings. He would definitely have to put Nair in Gojo's shampoo when they got back from this mission. Megumi was starting to think that the rest of Jujutsu High didn't know that their first years were sent away on this mission. Hell, they didn't even have a supervisor this time around and Gojo had put Megumi in charge of everything. And now this crappy hotel? Whatever reason Gojo had for doing this, it wasn't good and now Megumi was stuck in the middle of it.

"Just the three of you?" The manager said gruffly, his gaze sliding over the three first-years.

"Yes sir." Megumi affirmed with a small node. The man grunted and shoved his hand into an extremely disorganized key drawer. Megumi chose to ignore the cockroach that slithered out as the man was fishing around for their particular key. He was actually choosing to ignore a fair bit of the disgusting surroundings at the current moment. It was amazing that he had even managed to speak to this man in the first place.
