It was impossible to do anything with Sukuna, honestly. And Itadori was bored beyond belief. Both of the other first years were off doing mission stuff while he was stuck here with the King of Curses. Any time there was a sound by the door, he perked up, expecting to hear Nobara complain about the kid, or maybe Megumi would come by needing help for the mission. The first hour without Megumi had been relatively fine. Kugisaki had packed some black nail polish and they had spent a nice time talking about their crushes and painting nails. It reminded of Itadori's time in his high school. Those had really been simpler times when all he had to worry about is reaching his grumpy grandfather's hospital room before visitor's hours closed.
"It is because of you that you can't go back," Sukuna's unwelcome opinion chimed in. Itadori rolled his eyes and looked down at the smirking smile in the palm of his hand.
"That would be your fault actually, for leaving one of your stupid fingers out for a curse to eat. It's the occult club, they wanted to see what was haunting the football field." Itadori huffed. Honestly, it did take him some time to come to the realization that it wasn't his fault that his friends got hurt. Fushiguro had helped a lot with that.
"When you ate a piece of me–" Sukuna began and Itadori shook his hand in order to silence him.
"Do you really that bored in my head? Don't you have better things to do?" Itadori said grumpily. Sukuna laughed again, the little eye above the mouth squinting.
"This is much more entertaining. That girl has a very fun power to mess with," Sukuna said, licking his lips. "It would have been much more interesting if she was my vessel,"
"Wait, what power?" Itadori asked, looking at the palm of his hand.
"You know, I may be able to use her power for myself. She doesn't understand the cursed energy that she possesses, much like that grumpy friend of yours. Much more malleable." Sukuna continued. Itadori was getting really irritated now. He knew that's what Sukuna wanted, just to poke all of his buttons for his own entertainment, but it was hard not to get riled up when the King of Curses so casually brought up his friends like that. Or an innocent little girl.
"I'll make sure that you don't get anywhere near her. She's just a kid," Itadori said, his teeth grinding. He didn't even know this girl very well, but he knew that he had to protect her. Whatever power that Sukuna was talking about could be dealt with by the other first years.
"So were you once," Sukuna said. "Just imagine how powerful we could be with her by our side. We would be unstoppable,"
"I don't care what her power is. I am not going anywhere near Anya and you won't either," Itadori said and shoved his hands down his pockets to muffle whatever smart-ass comment Sukuna was going to say next. He would protect Anya no matter what.
In the distance, there was a loud boom. An unmistakable sound of an explosion. Yuji Itadori ran to the window, looking outside until his eyes caught the unmistakable dust cloud from where the explosion originated. From a distance, he could see the unmistakable shadow of Nue as it flew towards the cloud as well, but it didn't look like Megumi was with it. The pink-haired first year pushed open the window and jumped onto the rusty fire escape. Itadori climbed up to the roof in record time, barely even needing a running start before jumping to the next roof. Whatever was over there was big and definitely, a problem and all he could hope was that this time, he would be strong enough to help his friends before it was too late.

Yor was fast. Though, Megumi shouldn't find that too surprising after she admitted to being a killer-for-hire. It was actually making him break a sweat as he fought to keep up with her.
