Chapter 1 - The Iron Dragon

In the sky high above Kingdom of Alvera, 2 Wyvern rider patrolling the airspace near the coast when they hear a deep rumbling noise coming from the ocean.

"Do you hear that?"

"Yes I heard that too, what the hell is that noise?"

"I don't know, you tell me"

When suddenly a dragon-size creature appeared from the horizon with massive wing and 4 windmill seemingly pulling the creature. With theirs speed the creature had already arrived at the 2 Wyvern riders position In mere minutes, this caught them off guard and they scrambled to intercept it, however the creature climb higher than their Wyvern could and speed of into the distance. This make the captain of the Wyvern rider worried and asked his wingman to report it to the headquarters.

"HQ HQ, this is patrol rider 61, emergency emergency, an unknown creature has entered our airspace, it's fly too high and too fast for us to intercept, it's heading toward the capital, I say again..."

"Roger that patrol rider 61, can you describe the creature?"

"The creature has massive wings and 4 windmills at the front, its made of metal, grey in color and some kind of star on its body"

"Copy that patrol rider 61, we will intercept it before it can reach the capital"

The HQ radio operator then relay the message to the capital airbase where the commander ordered all of the Wyverns to take off and intercept the creature, the riders then flew west to intercept. In an hour or so the riders finally saw the grey creature appeared from the horizon, and they fly to the highest maximum altitude of their Wyvern's, however the creature still fly too high for them.

"HQ this is squadron leader 12, the creature is flying too high for us, prepare the capital for defense"

"Copy that squadron leader 12, comeback to the capital as soon as possible"

"Copy that HQ"

After the exchange, the capital defense kicking into high gear where the soldiers preparing for anti air defense, all civilians ordered to be at their home until the ordeal has passed, all available mages are ordered to help the defense, the situation was tense all around. King Alvarice IV then informed about the situation and called for emergency meeting with all the officials.

"So, tell me the situation in detail" asked king Alvarice

"Yes your majesty, about an hour and half ago our Wyvern patrol near the coast spotted an unknown creature bigger than anything we've come across before, it can fly higher and faster than our Wyvern, our capital air force then dispatched to intercept the creature but failed to do so, according to the report the creature has massing wing with 4 windmill at the front, grey in color and has star on its body." said general Kristov.

"My lord!, it sounds like an artifact from Balusia Empire, is it them?" asked minister of defense Balmor.

"I don't think so mr. Balmor, they do have some kind of flying artifact but it's not as large as the one just reported"

"Whatever or whoever is it, the most important thing right now is make sure the safety of our capital and its people! General Kristov, defend the capital with everything you've got!" Order King Alvarice.

"As you wish your majesty"

30 minutes or so later the creature in question finally arrived at the capital, the soldiers and mages alike were in awe as they never seen something flying so up high before. Everyone was waiting for the creature to do something before they can pull the trigger as dictated in their military rules. Kingdom of Alvera was a unique existence in this part of the world, where the other country was using knights and peasants as their fighting force, the kingdom was using professional soldiers as their part of the military, and they were told not to engage in combat unless in self defense, so as of right now they waiting the creature to make move.

While they waiting, the creature suddenly banking left and started circling the capital for a few rounds and then departed in the direction from where it arrived. The soldiers and mages are finally sighing a sigh if relief as nothing happened. While all this happening the king was watching from the balcony of his palace with all of his ministers, when the creature finally left he immediately call for another meeting to figure out what it was.

"I want the intelligence to figured out what or who it was that send the creature is immediately" said the king to the head of intelligence.

"General Kristov, I want you to increase the number of the Wyvern patrol, and set up an early warning system as soon as possible so we did not caught off guard again like we did today, and make sure to watch the sea as well"

"As your command your majesty" said both of the men.

"In the meantime, everybody here can give the opinion to as what or who it was"

"Yes your majesty, as I said before it could not be Balusia Empire, but it could be the Anatoa Empire as they known to have supply some technology to Balusia Empire" said the minister of defense.

"Beh, what the hell the Anatoa Empire can possibly gain from our land?" the minister of economy immediately rebutted.

"Your majesty, the creature probably Balusia Empire's new weapon and they are testing its capabilities and our responses, as all of you know the Balusia Empire is eyeing our land for some quite time, and we should prepare our kingdom to their invasion"

The meeting was a tense one and it continued until nightfall and still no conclusive answer, and so the king waited for the intelligence to gather all of the information that they can acquired.
