We had all traveled to The Shadowlands for the fight in the early hours of the morning to arrive on time, only I just didn't know where we were going, until I recognized the ruins of an old abandoned castle.

No... surely not here.

"What are we doing here?" I asked Nohr, who looked at me with uneasy eyes.

"It was Titar's call." Nohr said, his hand intertwining in mine. "Don't let it bother you, just ignore it."

Ignore it? How could I ignore it!

"It's just a place, don't let him get to you too, my love."

Not get to me? This place is the reason The Shadowlands is in the state it is- because of this black stain on our history.

The pit of Shadowlands, where Demonia Black would spend most of his childhood days caged alongside Lycan's, as the King... my ancestor used the wolves to fight against each other, for sport.

Titar was a really cunning bastard to hold the fight here, he choose this place on purpose to shove the history into our faces, like he's taunting us...

Not a single member of my family have been here since the downfall of Demonia and his children, we payed the price for the loss in this realm, even today we still live with the grief of the bodies of innocent wolves that have died in the pit.

"It's going to be okay, I promise you." Nohr's sweet words were hard to hear, I believed him but... this place was bad luck...

I also knew my family thought the same, the odds were not in our favor here.

A thought of pure madness, but possibility crosses my mind as I look at Nohr.

It could work... perhaps if he did it, then surely Nohr will survive what is to come next, if he was one of them then he'd have an advantage...

"What is you were a werewolf?" I stared at the ruins as we pass it, my chest clenching tightly.

"Hayden, I-"

"You could win." I felt like crying. "If only I could do it myself, then I wouldn't have to bear this, you could wi-"

Nohr had leaned forward in the carriage and held my head with both hands on either side of me, making me look at him and seeing his face... a sad smile on his lips as he presses his forehead to mine.

"It's impossible." He said quietly, as I put my hand over his, resting on my cheek.

"It's not, if Kane-"

Nohr shakes his head. "I'd do anything to be with you Hayden, but that is just not possible."

"Titan blood is different, even if Kane, Caelan or even your brother bit me, I wouldn't change... my blood will never accept change, I must do this by myself, Hayden." He said strongly, his eyes staring deep into mine.

My heart sunk, just as the carriage stops and someone knocks on the window.

Nohr pulls back the curtain. "We've arrived." The driver announces, before bowing and walking away as I hear others step down from their carriages.

I'm scared, I'm so scared, there must be something more I'm missing, anything- anything at all!

"Daisies."

I raise my head and look at Nohr, confused, what did he just say?

He smiled and grabbed my hand. "They're your favorite, right?"  He asked and I nodded my head with a frown, still not knowing what he's talking about.

"I... I heard daisies grow on... my parents graves, when this is all over I want to see them with you, if Titar dies then I can finally go back."

"Would you?." He asked, his hand moving to put a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
