Hi guys! So I decided that I really don't like writing as I go and instead like it better if I finish writing it and then posting it. So this story has already been written and I will be updating it probably every week or so, unless I get a bunch of likes and/or comments then I'll start doing double postings then. Let me know how you like it or if you think of something to make it better. Even though it's already written, doesn't mean that I can't change it if you guys think it needs something else. So without further ado, here's Match! :)
Heather's POV:
Name: Heather Martin
Age: 26
Occupation: Pediatric nurse
What you look like: Bright blue eyes, light brown hair, 5'1" height, and average healthy weight for my age and height.
Likes: running, cats, crossword puzzles, and photography
What type of guy you want to be matched with: I want a man that is kind, funny, and doesn't mind being in charge and protective with me. The taller the better and he can't smoke. Has to like kids, because I have a six year old daughter. I am a busy woman, so he has to either be just as busy as I am or really good with change.
There I just finished my online dating profile. Hopefully they can help me find a man where I could not. Oh I should probably introduce myself. My name is Heather Martin and I have tried every form of dating there is, but can't seem to find the right one for me. That's why I've resorted to using Match.com, to try to find the right guy and hopefully they will find me one. I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to dating because my husband died when he went to war six years ago. His name was Zayn and he was the love of my life, but sadly he left me. Right before he went off to battle six and a half years ago, we had sex and a few weeks later I found out I was pregnant. He was so excited and couldn't wait to meet her. A few months later, he was killed in a bombing. I was devastated and that was when I decided to get my nursing degree. That way I could help those who get in accidents and everything, where I couldn't help my dead husband. I went back to college, while being pregnant and was able to get my degree right before I had my daughter. My daughter's name is Zoey and she reminds me so much of Zayn. She has his brown eyes and my light brown hair. I already know that she's going to be tall and skinny, just like her dad was and she has his smile. She will be turning seven in a few months, and I have finally decided to get back in the dating world. I've already tried the bar flirting, and the blind dates- both went horribly wrong- and I'm hoping that online dating will work out better for me.
With my nursing hours, I usually get two weekdays off, and have to work the weekend. My mom usually comes over and takes care of Zoey on the weekends, and days that I have 24 hour shifts. It's not the best hours, but it pays the bills and I love being able to help others.
Today I have the day off, and Zoey is at school, so I decide to go for a run in the park. I have always loved running and usually find comfort in the rhythm that comes with it. I get to the park and see only a few people are there. There's a few kids playing on the jungle gym while their parents are watching and talking together, and a few runners running. I put my earbuds in and put it on Carrie Underwood's Toy Soldiers. Yes, I love country music, but I also love pop and rock music too, so my playlist has a whole bunch of different genres. I start running and get into my stride.
Once I've done about a mile and a half, I start noticing that my breathing is getting wheezy. I have asthma, and if it's too dry of weather or I work out too much, then it sometimes acts up. All I have to do though is take a puff of my inhaler and I'm usually good. I go to my pocket to get my inhaler and I don't feel it. I start breathing heavier and put my arms over my head, trying to get air into my lungs. I still can't get enough air in my lungs and start to panic even more.
All of a sudden, my eyesight gets blurry and my head starts to spin. I feel myself starting to fall from my brain not getting enough oxygen. Before I can feel the ground hit me though, I feel strong arms catch me and I hear someone's voice sounding like they were far away asking me if I was okay. Right before I faint into blackness, I think, no I'm not okay.
I wanted to keep Zayn in the story, but not have him be in the story, just as he may not be in the band, but he will always be in One Direction. Let me know if you like it so far :)
