"Lucy! You've got one," Peter called as Lucy shot a deer.
"Yes!"
"Well done Lucy," Edmund said as he joined them.
"I shot it. I shot it!"
"A fine shot at that."
"What are you waiting for? Let's get it," Edmund called and they rode off.
"I got it in the heart," Lucy said as she picked up the peasant, and her brothers clapped.
"Well done Lucy."
"Well done," Edmund called and Lucy smiled. She was smiling broadly and widely, but then an arrow was shot and it hit Lucy in her back.
"Ah..." She gasped.
"Lucy!"
"Lucy!" Peter and Edmund shouted, and Lucy dropped the peasant. She fell to the ground and her brother's dismounted, Peter drawing his bow.
"Come out! You just shot my sister!" Peter shouted.
"Lucy?" Edmund asked, kneeling beside her. "Lucy, it is Edmund. Can you hear me?"
"Hey!" Peter shouted, and he loosened his arrow.
"Argh!" The person yelled, and they fell dead. Peter rushed over and checked them. They appeared to be a bandit, rogue and alone. He quickly identified them as not a threat.
"Edmund?"
"She's alive."
"He was acting alone, we are not under threat," Peter said, and he rushed back over to his siblings. "How is she?"
"She has a wound to her back. She's not actively bleeding, but we must get her home."
"Ok. Help me get her onto a horse," Peter said and together, they got Lucy onto horseback. She was unconscious, but Edmund rode in-front of her and he would make sure that she did not fall. "Are you able to carry her?"
"I am, but Peter..."
"Yes Edmund?"
"I'm cold."
"Cold?"
"Very cold. I'm..." Edmund said and Peter saw him visibly shaking.
"Have my furs," He said before he wrapped his brother in them. "Are you alright?"
"I'm alright. That's much better. Thank you Peter."
"Let's ride," Peter said, and they rode back to Cair Paravel.

On their return, they got Lucy into a bed. Susan quickly tended to her sister: making sure that she was warm before gathering medicine and checking Lucy's wound.
"Can you heal her?"
"It's deep, but not fatal. Time and the right medicine will allow her to heal."
"I will stay. Peter, you have to go back and make sure that the attacker was acting alone."
"I will. Susan, Edmund is feeling cold and he's shivering. Are you able to watch him?"
"Of course."
"I am old enough to look after myself Peter."
"I'll be back soon," Peter said before he left them.

Peter rode back into the forest and tracked where the bandit had come from. Following the tracks, he found a camp. It was abandoned and all the supplies were only for one person. There was no evidence of communications, so Peter was happy that this person was working alone. He went to leave when he sprung a trap and an arrow flew, landing directly in his leg. "ARGH!" He yelled as he knelt down and raised his hands to his leg. He pulled the arrow out and used part of his cloak to bandage the wound. It was time to head back.

"The king has returned," The guards called as Peter rode in.
"Sire..." One said as Peter dismounted and grimaced in pain. They came over to support him and Peter addressed them.
"It was a trap, there's no threat. Help me to my sister."
"Of course sire," The guard said and he helped Peter limp through the hallways.
"Peter!" Edmund called out as he saw him. Word had reached him first that Peter had been shot, so he had come in search of him.
"It's just my leg. It was a bolt from a trap."
"How bad is it?"
"Not bad. Argh," Peter called as he sat down.
"It seems bad. Let me see," Edmund said and he knelt in front of Peter. Pulling his trouser legs up, Edmund unwrapped the robe and saw the wound. "It went in deep Peter."
"Peter!" Susan called before she ran to him.
"How's Lucy?"
"She's healing. What happened to your leg?"
"A trap. I triggered it and the arrow went into my leg."
"Oh Peter."
"What do you need?"
"Bay leaves and springwater."
"Ok," Edmund said before he left.
"It will hurt, but there shouldn't be any lasting damage."
"Alright."

Susan treated Peter, and softly after he returned to Lucy. She woke up not long after.
"Lucy."
"What happened?"
"You were shot by a bandit."
"An arrow in the back. But you are back at Cair Paravel," Edmund added.
"I'm alright?"
"Yes. The wound will take time to heal, but you will be alright."
"Get some rest. You're well tended."
"Thank you," Lucy said, and she fell back asleep.
