Peter was at the station. He was catching a train, but he couldn't help thinking of Narnia. He thought about Aslan and he smiled. He wasn't known as Aslan here, but he was still watching over them. The train started to roll in and Peter watched it before the bomb went off.
White, static noise filled Peter's hearing and his vision came back slowly. There was crying, shouting and yelling. Peter thought of Susan.
"Susan? Susan?" He called before he looked for her. They had been catching this train together. "Susan," Peter said as he found her. "Are you alright?"
"My ankle..." She said and Peter looked at it. It was red and bleeding.
"Let's get out of here."Outside the station, a doctor came over and checked Susan over. The ringing was loud in Peter's ears and he sat down.
"Peter. Peter," Edmund called and Peter opened his eyes. "Are you alright?"
"What are you doing here?"
"They talked about the bomb going off at the station in school. You look like you're in pain."
"My ears are ringing. I'll be ok though."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"They're going to get you to the hospital just in case. I said that you'd go with Susan."
"Is she ok?"
"Her ankle's been hurt, but she's doing just fine."
"Good."
"Come on," Edmund said and he helped Peter to join Susan.~
"Aslan," Peter called as he entered the church. "Aslan. There was an explosion. Susan and I... we've been hurt. She's hurt her ankle, and I have a ringing in my ears. The doctor's don't know if it will get better... I'm going to be old enough to be conscripted soon, but I have my family to protect: Edmund, Lucy, Susan. Please, if you're there..." Peter said before he paused. The church was silent. "I need to be here. For them."
The church creaked, but made no sound to Peter.
"If I am to be conscripted. ... Look after them. Especially Edmund."
A light was blown out.
"And my hearing? You can heal anything. It's ever so loud."
The wind blew through a window.
"Aslan. Please..."
The wind blew, candles flickered, but Peter heard nothing from Aslan. He walked to the cross and knelt down. He put his hands together and bowed his head.
"Please. A great lion as you are, watch over them. Heal my hearing and save end this war."
No splinter of wood moved on the cross.
"My time may come soon. Please, just look after them," Peter said before he stood up.
The wind whistled, but no more sound was made.
"Please Aslan," Peter said before he left.
