"Where are you lost, Maya?" Indrayani asked worriedly as her daughter seemed a little weird to her, especially on her wedding day. Indrayani caressed her daughter's head, knowing fully well her daughter would become someone else's daughter too today.

Mahamaya asked in a tensed voice, "Are dreams true?"

Indrayani's face hardened as she mumbled, stopping her caressing, "And here I thought you were thinking about leaving us. I was getting emotional for no reason then."

Mahamaya bit her tongue as she realized her mistake. She held her mother's hand and said in a childlike convincing voice, "Sorry Aai, I was in my own thoughts, that's why the questions. Of course I will miss you a lot and I will regularly visit you and call you everyday and video call with you weekly. Technology is so advanced you won't even know your daughter is away, Aai. Don't get sad now."

Indrayani smiled, before hugging her as the makeup artists entered to do their work. Viraj's family had made sure Mahamaya would get all the professional makeup help to get ready because they didn't want any tardiness regarding her wedding experience. She was going to be their Queen after all and unlike the previous King, this to be King had given stern instructions that her wedding experience had to be considered and had to be made pleasurable. Ayush didn't stop him because he had come to adore the girl too as if she was his own daughter.

"Alright, get ready. I will go and get ready too," Indrayani pecked her daughter's forehead and left, wiping a tear away from her eye discretely as Mahamaya smiled. She had come to a strange kind of understanding with Viraj since yesterday. Since they hugged, it almost felt as if they were in sync with everything, like everything was good. Earlier, it was just an arranged marriage for her but now, she felt indebted to him in a way for going through what he did along all the lives and waiting for her because it was indeed a big thing, if it was true. She didn't even want to check if it was true because she remembered the story from her father and if it did turn out to be false, this connection between them would be gone or might worsen.

She knew the mind could make dreams according to what you think of in your subconscious mind but Viraj was positive he didn't even know who Iravan was and he had only heard the name of Abhimanyu, another one of Arjuna's sons. He had a very basic understanding of the Mahabharata, not even knowing that the Hindu religious book, song of the God, Bhagwad Geeta was a part of the Mahabharata. So, how would he get the same dream? And he had told her everything first and not the other way around so there was no chance he was making this up. He was more confused than her because he didn't have any kind of background about the dream that was thrusted on him.

"You are ready, Ma'am. You are looking beautiful," the makeup artists said as Mahamaya came out of her daze and looked in the mirror. She was looking beautiful indeed. She had gotten ready for her Vedic marriage.

Her hair was put in a bun and the bun was once again lined with the fragrant mogra (arabic jasmine) flower's gajra (small garland for hair)

Her hair was put in a bun and the bun was once again lined with the fragrant mogra (arabic jasmine) flower's gajra (small garland for hair). Two roses were also tucked in her hair and her hair looked so good. She was wearing a shiny purple pink saree and a matching purple blouse. A crescent moon tikli (Bindi, dot between the eyes) adorned her forehead, like everyday  but this one looked more special today.

Another thing that adorned her forehead was the bashinga she was wearing as its strands dropped down the sides of her eyes. Bashinga is a forehead ornament worn by Maharashtrian bride & groom, which defined the togetherness of bride & groom. It is horizontally tied on the forehead & it has great importance in Maharashtrian weddings.

It was a common thing among Marathi weddings. Along with a bashinga, she had also worn loads of necklaces, nose ring, earrings which she was sure were heavier than her own ears and lots of rings, along with golden and green glass bangles.

She didn't even realize that the makeup artists had given her a short manicure and painted her nails pink and her lips were painted maroon too. They went well with her outfit.  She got up, smiling as she said to the two makeup artists, "Thank you so much for this. I am looking so beautiful. You guys made my wedding experience a lot better."

The girls smiled and one of them said, "No, it was our pleasure to do your makeup, Ma'am. You look absolutely beautiful. If we could, we would take your photo for business and marketting purposes but we are told not to."

Mahamaya was curious as she asked, "Why not?"

The other makeup artist said, "Privacy reasons, Madam."

Mahamaya nodded. She understood Viraj's family's concern. Even if the media was not here, everybody would eventually know that the heir to the Mumbai's throne had married and would want to attack his immediate family, which would be Aabha, Yuvraj and now her. She would be his weak spot.

She realized that things were going to change now, once their marriage would become common news. Maybe her entire life would be upturned after today. Before she could get up, a maid rolled over a trolley of food and her mouth watered. She had not eaten since last night and she was starving.

She sat down as the maids served her personally before she had to leave for the wedding. It was just 9 AM but she was still hungry. There were lots of things going on in her mind but when it came to food, everything else melted away as Mahamaya served herself some tea (masala chai), poha (cooked rice flakes) and some batata vada (huge potato fritter). She didn't normally eat deep fried food but she thought this was acceptable. Finally, Pooja came to fetch her and till then, Mahamaya had finished eating and touched up her makeup again.

"Shall we?" Pooja asked, smiling. She had gotten ready too for her sister-in-law's wedding and was looking beautiful. Every woman staying in the house had all gotten one makeup artist each and the money would be paid by Mahamaya's in-laws.

Mahamaya, after hearing her question blushed, remembering she was finally going to marry today as she nodded, before both of them proceeded out of the room and Mahamaya came across Viraj posing for pictures and she had to join in for more couple pictures on these outfits...
