Viraj was about to fall down but Mahamaya held him. He felt an intense surge of energy inside him as the Pandit Ji (priest) announced, "There is no use of the idol anymore. Throw it away."
Mahamaya's eyes widened. What was going on. She turned to the Pandit Ji (priest) as Ayush helped Viraj. Vijay would have but he was already holding a sleeping Tara. Mahamaya felt angry as she asked the Pandit Ji (priest) in a voice which was even unknown to her, "How could you talk about my Khandoba's idol in this way?"
The Pandit Ji simply chuckled and before Mahamaya could be angrier, she heard Ayush exclaim, "What is this happening to Viraj?"
Mahamaya turned towards him, wondering what was happening to Viraj to realize that his throat had turned blue. She touched her head as she felt like she was sweating. She turned to the Pandit Ji (priest) and asked him, "Do you know what is this happening? Is this poison?"
The Pandit Ji (priest) chuckled and replied, "Yes, it is poison indeed. It is halaahal."
Mahamaya felt like her head was spinning. Halaahal was the poison that was released in the air during the samudra manthan (churning of the ocean). Shiva had then appeared and drank the poison so that the Gods and the demons, who were churning the ocean won't die. Did that mean...
Her eyes widened as she looked at the idol of Khandoba. She realized what that energy was. Every idol was infused with the energy of the deity and thus, the energy in the Khandoba idol had now transferred to Viraj, making him Khandoba too. Likewise, Mhalsa, Khandoba's wife's energy was transferred into her. She whispered to herself, "How is this possible?"
Aabha asked her, "What is possible? Is something a problem? Is halaahal fatal?"
The Pandit Ji (priest) told them, "Not till Shakti is with Shiva. She will take her Tara form and make sure the poison stays in the throat."
Aabha's eyes widened as she asked, "Where can we find Shakti? Do you know anybody who can help him?"
Mahamaya suddenly knew what to do as she held his throat and instantly, his eyes opened and everybody breathed a sigh of release. Mahamaya closed her eyes and mouthed a mantra she didn't know she knew till that point and his throat started glowing. She stepped back, finally looking around to realize that everyone was looking at them.
The Pandit Ji (priest) exclaimed, "I knew it the very moment I saw her. She had come here probably before the marriage, about six months ago. I had recognized her at that instant only. She is Goddess Mohini. Shiva can never leave Shakti in the mortal world (earth) alone."
"What do you mean?" Ayush grit out, frustrated. He didn't have any idea on what was going on around him.
The Pandit Ji (priest) replied calmly, "The reason for the existence of this temple is completed. The temple has met its fate."
Mahamaya sighed, holding her head, as she asked calmly again, "What happened just now, Pandit Ji (Priest)?
The Pandit Ji (Priest) took a deep breath and said, "He has gone through a lot, in this life and his past lives and I am sure by now you already know what I am talking about. The intense struggle he went through has made him equivalent to Shiva and that's why he got to marry you. He has passed in the test by the Gods themselves and his soul is only partially filling his body but most of his soul is infused with energy of Shiva in dormant form. It remained dormant until now when he was suddenly exposed to the rest of the energy of Shiva and about you, you are Goddess Mohini herself. People think that Mohini is female form of Sri Vishnu but that is only half true. Every male has Shiva in him and every female has Shakti in her. That's why, even if a God like Sri Vishnu takes on a female form, the female form needs to have lots of Shakti inside her, which is Devi. People think that Shiva cheated on Shakti with Mohini but they don't understand that Shiva and Shakti can never cheat on one another. It is technically impossible for that to happen."
Mahamaya's head spun as she asked, "T-That means I am Goddess M-Mohini?"
The Pandit Ji (priest) smiled and nodded. On his words, the idol was taken away and the decorations were taken off. There was a bigger throne underneath the miniature throne the idol was resting on. The Pandit Ji (priest) urged Viraj, "Sit on this throne and increase its greatness, my dearest Khandoba."
Viraj walked forward and Mahamaya felt her cheeks wet, feeling herself overwhelmed with complex emotions. She quickly wiped them away as she felt a tug on her wrist. She gasped when she was pulled with him and he sat on the thrown, with her on his left thigh. He looked like he was the king of the place. Tara quickly woke up and sat herself on his right thigh and the Priest said in wonder, "Shiva and Shakti with Ashok Sundari (Shiva and Parvati's (Shakti's) daughter) on Shiva's lap. I am truly blessed to have witnessed this scene," and bowed to them as the three smiled and instinctually raised their palms in facing the people as they showered their blessing on everyone.
Everybody was surprised as Aabha, Ayush, Sameera and Vijay were left agape. They bowed down to the little family. Yuvraj was confused but seeing everyone bow to them, he too bowed his head. The energy in the room was enormous as everyone was sweating. There was a clear shift in the things happening as people hurried to get their blessings.
Before they knew it, it was time for the temple to close down as the Pandit Ji (priest) bowed to them and requested them, "Please, I ask of you to stay here till everybody has left the mountain."
Viraj nodded, a gentle smile on his face. He honestly didn't feel like himself. He was working on autopilot and still it felt like he was himself. Mahamaya was in a similar situation. The energy surge that the two experienced was something otherworldly. The little Tara was just enjoying herself on her father's lap as everybody gushed over how cute she looked with them.
Everybody climbed down the mountain. The family then stepped down, starting to climb down the temple as some people claimed that if they could, they would carry the trio on their backs. Finally, they were at the foot of the mountain on which the temple was situated. The Pandit Ji (priest) urged people to stay back or they would get harmed.
Ayush mumbled, "All this is nonsense. They are acting as if we carry bombs and then they claim that our Viraj is their 'God'. We only treat criminals this-"
His words were cut in middle as Mahamaya and Viraj stepped down the final step and the mountain turned to dust at their feet, making everybody bow down to them again...
