"Wow, you really had a number done on you." Carol said as we waited for the Magister to walk it.

"You should see my foot." I responded before lowering my hand. Carol and I still weren't on good terms after that misunderstanding, but we still managed.

At this point, I think she's just mad because she has to share Lilac's attention with me. I remember that she needed a few hours with Milla in game to get used to her. I don't mind it since it reminded me of how my younger brother was with our sisters and older brother. I don't put it past her to feel a little jealous.

Speaking of Milla. I completely forgot to even introduce myself to the girl. She had already been in the tree house when I arrived after fighting General Serpentine. Then again, spacial awareness isn't one of my strong suits when I'm in pain. I gotta change that.

She was difficult to look at, mostly because her age was changed just like Lilac's and Carol's so she was now eighteen

She was difficult to look at, mostly because her age was changed just like Lilac's and Carol's so she was now eighteen. Given her size and revealing choice of clothes(let's be honest, she's pretty much wearing a bathing suit bottom and a jacket), I don't want to continue off as a pervert. It's why I barely looked her way on the "walk" here. Thank you Lilac. Still, she was just as sweet and innocent as the game.

And if you know the military; we're the opposite.

I looked over at Milla who was nervously fidgeting in the corner. I wasn't going to be a shit bag and leave her a nervous mess so I thought that I'd go introduce myself.

"I know this is a little late, but hey... I'm Hunter." I said as I offered my non-broken hand. She didn't expect me to do this so she seemed to make herself smaller. Again, them being taller than me, it didn't work. Actually, now that I think about it, I never really thought of their height... Or at least I don't think so.

"Milla." I sigh because it seemed like it had the opposite affect I intended.

"Welp, that backfired!"

"Pardon me, but I'd like to get this done with quickly." My head shot towards the voice as I instinctively lowered my body. Again, it backfired as my ankle buckled and pain shot through my body. "Don't worry, I brought the doctor."

"Wow, you really messed up your hand." Jesus, everyone's sneaking up on me today. "Any other injury?"

That's when I showed my foot.

"WHAT THE HELL?!? HOW ARE YOU NOT SCREAMING IN PAIN?!?"

"Oddly enough, not the first time I felt this kind of pain. Boot Camp sucked for a few weeks." I've learned to deal with it. "When you're doing ruck marches or obstacle course required to graduating, you learn to push through."

"Wow, that's... Hardcore." Carol admitted, not liking what she said.

"My grandfather did far more, with harder conditions, during wartime; I could definitely do an easier Basic with less time." The doctor paused for a moment as he began to set the bone. I whenced, but when he attempted to use those leaves, it failed. No shock there, we already tried that.
