You, Kokichi, and Shuchi made it to class relatively fast and entered to pick your seats only to see there were assigned seats on the board.
"Aw, man! I hate assigned seats!" Kokichi complained looking at the board
You all looked at the board trying to find your name
It seemed that you were next to Shuichi and Rantaro Amami
"That's not fair! Why do you guys get to sit next to each other while I'm all the way at the front!" Kokichi complained even more
Shuichi shrugged as you laughed at Kokichi's complaining
"It's just one class at the front, you'll live," I said while patting his shoulder
As I said that the teacher waltzed in and told us to take our seats
I and Shuichi just waved to Kokichi and headed toward our seat
it seemed that the other person next to me, Rantaro, wasn't here yet and we were still missing half the class
Just as that thought left my mind a whole new wave of people started walking in and looking at the seating chart
As I was staring, a boy with light green hair smiled and waved to me
I quickly got out of my trance and smiled back, I remember him from my homeroom, he was Rantaro Amami
As Rantaro started walking toward his seat next to me, I could see from the corner of my eye that Kokichi was glaring at him
It seemed like he figured out that I was looking at him and he turned his body towards me and excitedly waved his hand to me and started smiling like a little kid.
Shuichi's P.O.V
While I sat next to Y/N I saw them look up, at the guy I recognized as Rantaro Amami
As I watched him come over I could tell how his face softened seeing that Y/N was his seatmate.
As I noticed Rantaros face I also noticed Kokichi glaring him down for some reason
Did they get into an argument before school started again? I wonder why he's glaring at him so much
I could tell that Y/N noticed Kokichi's look too, but as soon as they looked over his attitude did a 180, and was suddenly happy
I swear I could see an imaginative tail wagging like crazy like a dog excited to see its owner back from a trip

Your P.O.V
"Hey! I believe we have the same homeroom right?" I turn to look next to me to see Rantaro talking to me
"Yeah! We do, my name is Y/N!" I say with a smile
"I remember! Ultimate (Y/U) right? I'm Rantaro Amami, the Ultimate adventurer" He says returning the smile.
"It's nice to finally talk to you Rantaro!" I smiled as he sat down in his seat next to me
"It's nice to finally talk to you too! I've had my eye on you since you introduced yourself!" He said excitedly
