I saw you in a dream
You came to me
You were the sweetest apparition, such a pretty vision
There was no reason, no explanation
The perfect hallucination***
We found a new cafe.
Well, I found a new cafe. I didn't want Farren to have to go to The Coffee Project every day and see Preston, so I suggested that we try a new cafe down the street from our apartments.
It's definitely smaller than Coffee Project but it's much cozier and has the most welcoming environment.
Rather than getting our food and drink to go, we find ourselves eating there a lot and just opening up the store a little later every morning.
She also started vocal lessons with Ellie and it's been a great distraction but I just wish I could do something to help her get over Preston.
She hasn't been over to my house since then and won't even let me in hers. When I knock on her door every morning she would usually let me sit with her while she gets ready but recently she has been opening the door already ready to go.
I try not to think too much about it but it's hard when she just acts like nothing happened.
I spent the rest of the day that Preston falsely confronted her comforting her while she cried in my chest laying on my bed.
I always thought that was the turning point of our relationship, but maybe that was just me.
I get that she sees me as one of her closest friends here in New York but it's just so hard to only see her as a friend, especially after the week we had. Out of respect for her though, I'm going to keep those thoughts to myself because it's very clear to me that all I am to her is a friend.
Stupid, stupid, stupid word. Friend.
Right now she's in one of the back rooms with Ellie and I'm really glad she agreed to work here because she clearly loves working with kids and singing is something she's really talented at and the fact that she gets paid to do two things she loves, I can't help but be happy for her.
Ellie is a friend of Charlie's and he's actually the one that told her to do vocal lessons. I think he likes her because for how outgoing he is, he gets all shy around her, it's kinda cute.
Sound familiar, Harry?
Today has been very weird.
She hasn't said much to me throughout the day and only showed the slightest bit of excitement when Ellie walked through the door for her lesson. She's been talking to Bella and Jaden a lot more recently and didn't even invite me to the Friday night family movie.
That hurt a little more than I'd like to admit.
It's been fairly slow today and I think I'm gonna close up once Farren and Ellie are finished up in the back so to pass time, I start to set up our new shipment of records that we just got in. We decided to start small with only a few crates and if we found that people were buying them, we'd start ordering more.
