Chapter 4 ☆ A Frosty Night

You jolted up from a dream you were having. Fear stinging at your fingertips. You felt tears roll down your cheeks. Your heart was beating out of your chest before you felt warm hands cup your cheeks. It was Yao, he was holding you close to him. Your heartbeat began to slow down, a sensation of calmness entering your body. Ah... the simple touch of someone was comforting to you. Especially hands as warm as Yao's.
"Are you alright?" He asked, a small mellow smile upon his face.
"I'm okay..." You said, still catching your breath from the nightmare. "I'm going outside..." You began to get up before Yao grabbed your hand and pulled you back down into your seat.
"No you aren't. The temperatures are below freezing and after you tried to kill yourself I don't want you being alone anymore."
"That's not fair... I should be able to go where-ever I want." You mumbled, giving him a frustrated hiss. He looked at you with a stern glare plastered across his face.
"Come here." He said, pulling you close to his chest and wrapping a blanket around your waist. You grumbled. He began to run his fingers through your hair. "Go back to sleep, it's late." He said comfortingly. You hesitated.
"I'm not tired."
"I can change that." He said simply. You stared at him in disbelief. Your jaw hanging open. He blinked, seemingly confused. "With melatonin...?" He added.
"You could've said that before hand, weirdo..." You rolled your eyes.
"What did you think I was saying?" He giggled slightly. "Something naughty?"
"I'm going back to sleep. Goodnight." You hissed.
"I thought you weren't tired?" He smirked with a snarky look.
"Shut up I'm trying to sleep." You snapped, rolling away from him slightly. He giggled and pulled you back close to his chest.
"Sorry." He said before laying his head atop of yours. Your eyes slowly began to close, fatigue drawing over you although you had previously said you weren't tired. You quickly fell asleep in the arms of Yao, comforted by his fragrance.
