You woke up that morning, thinking about what happened the month before. That was over, now, as it was time to start thinking about your new job. You wondered what job you got, since you just handed in a bunch of applications, you were super desperate. Once you opened the note, the only thing it sad was "Come next month", With an address in small print at the bottom.

You type the address into your GPS. As you follow the route, you slowly noticed where it was taking you. "No way!" You pull into that familiar driveway once more. "Jack-in-the-box..." You mutter under your breath, recalling the incident last month. You walk in, Jack-in-the-box greets you, but he looks like he was expecting you.

"Hello" He says in the most casual tone, as if he forgot what happened last month. All you do is continue into the kitchen, waiting for your trainer to come and reach you the basics. "Looking for your trainer?" Jack asks, slowly walking toward you. "Yes!.. um, where is he?" You ask, still feeling embarrassed about the month before. "He's right here." Jack says, smiling slightly.

¨Oh!¨ you cant help but state, feeling a bit surprised.

You keep quiet. He begins teaching you how to make the fries, flip the patties, and toast the bread perfectly (plus everything else).

As the work day ends, you both pack up and leave, but when you arrive home, and begin looking through your backpack for a pen, you find that Jack has left his number in a slip of paper and inserted it into your bag. You call the number on the slip, but nobody picks up.

¨Gah- unlucky. Probably a work phone anyways.¨ You say to yourself, laughing slightly. You start to get ready for bed, hearing the ring of your phone as your about to flop into your bed. You pick up the phone and answer, putting it up to your ear.

wwwwwwwwwwwwww

(Something unintelligible) ¨Oh, hey- Did you call me?¨ You hear a familiar voice coming out of the phone. ¨Ah- yep! I was just checking if it worked.¨ You say a bit rushed, as you never expected him to actually pick up the phone. ¨Alright, sorry for giving it to you without explanation. Its only for if you need-¨ (Unintelligible) ¨Sorry, something. Is that all?¨

¨Yep!¨ You say, and cant help but blush a bit.

¨You did a good job today! Hoping your just as good tomorrow!¨ He says, and then continues arguing into the distance before hanging up.

You cant help but feel a bit shaken as you go to bed, and you cant help but think about the conversation. You keep replaying the complement in your head, and you swear he was giving you more in your dreams...(hint hint nudge nudge)
