ROBANIE (HORROR SHORT SCREENPLAY)

FICTIONAL HORROR SHORT "ROBANIE"

PLOT: ROBANIE, a humanoid male robot becomes hacked at night.

CHARACTERS:
- ROBANIE: humanoid, realistic male robot; brown hair; blue eyes; rigid; helpful; obeys orders, great robot cook
- TISH ADAMS: mother of TILLY; wife of TRENT; motherlike; loving; caring; brown hair, green eyes
- TILLY ADAMS; daughter of TISH & TRENT; 6 years old; school child; innocent; funny; brown hair, blue eyes
- TRENT ADAMS: father of TILLY; husband of TISH; brown hair; blue eyes

INT. LIVING ROOM - TRENT'S HOUSEHOLD...

(FADE IN: the family household of the ADAMS is asleep in their respective beds at 10PM. ROBANIE is left unresponsive; as his humanoid eyes look around the lounge-room; waiting to be directed to do the next task on his database... ROBANIE is a humanoid robot; wearing a green t-shirt, black jeans and barefoot. SUDDENLY - ROBANIE's electrical circuit gets hacked; affecting his database. The order via his eye circuit reads the following: "CYPLUS ORDERS YOU TO KILL YOUR HOSTING FAMILY. WE CAN USE THEIR LIMBS FOR REPLACEABLE MECHANICAL PARTS." ROBANIE in shock; stands up and prepares to follow out the order...)

ROBANIE
(determined to himself) WILL DO CYPLUS...

(ROBANIE makes his way to kill his hosting family... the scene continues....)

INT. TILLY'S ROOM - TRENT'S HOUSEHOLD

(ROBANIE makes his way to kill the young TILLY ADAMS. ROBANIE opens the door silently; and makes his way forward to the sleeping TILLY ADAMS on her single bed. TILLY wakes up from the rigid noise of ROBANIE; and is pleasantly surprised to see him)

TILLY
(Surprised to ROBANIE) Robanie... ROBANIE... Hey... Hey what are you doing up so late?

(ROBANIE does not respond and sits beside TILLY on her single bed. TILLY resumes talking to ROBANIE)

TILLY
(Excited to ROBANIE) Well I was thinking ROBANIE... We can... play dolls tomorrow... Want to do that or?

(SUDDENLY - ROBANIE grabs TILLY by the throat. SHOCKED and in fear; TILLY screams at ROBANIE to stop)

TILLY
(screaming to ROBANIE) Robanie... Robanie stop... stop please.. you're hurting my throat... please...

(ROBANIE squeezes TILLY's throat even harder; as he holds her up by the throat. TILLY tries to escape; and cries in fear. She continues begging for ROBANIE to stop)

TILLY
(screams to ROBANIE) Robanie... stop... I... I begging you...

(ROBANIE doesn't stop as he follows through his order. ROBANIE officially cracks TILLY's neck; as he drops the deceased TILLY on the neck... He walks out of TILLY's bedroom... the scene continues...)

INT. MAIN BEDROOM - TRENT'S HOUSEHOLD...

(ROBANIE bursts the door open to the MAIN BEDROOM OF TRENT'S HOUSEHOLD. ROBANIE notices the alert TRENT: as he lifts his head above the blankets; and notices ROBANIE. TISH wakes up minutes later; in shock)

TRENT
(shocked to ROBANIE) Robanie... What the hell are you doing here? We're sleeping... I will allocate you tasks in the morning. Log off and rest..

(ROBANIE ignores TRENT's comments; making his way closet to TRENT & TISH with a sadistic expression on his face. TISH in worry; talks to TRENT)

TISH
(worried to TRENT) Trent... What.... what's happening?

(TRENT speaks firmly to ROBANIE; questioning his motives)

TRENT
(shouts at ROBANIE) Robanie... what are you doing? LOG OFF...

ROBANIE
(to TRENT) My database says I must come in here and kill you...

TRENT
(Shouts to ROBANIE) Robanie... What the hell. STOP... Cancel that task in your database right now...

ROBANIE
(to TRENT) I can not... or my circuits will be destroyed... I must follow my order...

TRENT
(Shouts to ROBANIE) No you won't... I'll shut you down before you do that... (worried to TILLY) Ring CYPLUS up...

(TISH hops out of bed in a hurry; grabs her mobile phone from the dresser of fear; and prepares to call CYPLUS - the company that manufactures and produces humanoid robots. ROBANIE makes his way to TISH; grabbing her mobile phone by force and throws it outside the window. The phone smashes into bits; TISH retaliates and kicks ROBANIE down and cries. ROBANIE falls and hops back up; preparing for a physical fight with his humanoid fists up....)

ROBANIE
(sadistic; to TRENT) Why fight me... What about your daughter?

(TISH & TRENT worry about their daughter TILLY. TRENT questions ROBANIE firmly about their daughter)

TRENT
(QUESTIONS FIRMLY TO ROBANIE) WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH TILLY?

(ROBANIE DOESN'T RESPOND. TISH REACTS IN FEAR; AND SCREECHES AT ROBANIE)

TISH
(SHOUTS TO ROBANIE) WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH OUR TILLY?

(ROBANIE speaks his confession)

ROBANIE
(to TISH & TRENT) I need her for more parts... CYPLUS is running out... what about if one of my arms break... I won't be able to do your boring chores... you won't be able to sit on your high-horse and do nothing...

(TISH works out ROBANIE had killed her daughter TILLY. SHE REACTS IN ANGER AND GRIEF)

TISH
(shouts at TRENT) Robanie... he... he killed our daughter TRENT... he killed our daughter... ROBANIE is broken and corrupt... MY TILLY... OUR TILLY...

(TRENT becomes fiercely angry at ROBANIE)

TRENT
(shouts at ROBANIE) YOU GODDAMN MONSTER... YOU PIECE OF SHIT... YOU'RE GONE...

(TISH runs to her daughter's room; TRENT follows whilst dragging the broken ROBANIE. The scene to be continued...)

INT. TILLY'S ROOM - TRENT'S HOUSEHOLD

(FADE IN: TILLY'S ROOM. TRENT effectively and efficiently shuts down ROBANIE by kicking him in the forehead; knocking the humanoid robot down. TISH screams at the sight of her deceased daughter TILLY)

TISH
(screams; to deceased TILLY) TILLY... TILLY darling... Tilly...

(TRENT notices the grieving TISH with their deceased daughter TILLY. TRENT loses it; and smashes ROBANIE to bits; extracting every robotic limb off its body... its internal robotic circuits; it all... TISH looks at the grieving and angered TRENT)

TISH
(cries to TRENT) Trent... Don't get worked up... We're suing CYPLUS..

TRENT
(upset to TISH) Oh you bet TISH... You bet... I am... We are...

(The scene ends with TRENT kneeling with his wife TISH; grieving their deceased daughter TILLY)
