SAM (524)
We don't hear from Phineas or anyone else from his team for several minutes. For a moment, I worry that they weren't able to make it out. Maybe they got caught, or they got injured when Mitch's robot got up. All we can do is wait impatiently and hope that they figure something out.
And then, just when it seems like PK Luke is about to collapse, the big robot stops moving. Sparks of electricity shoot out from all over its body while Foley-made explosion sound effects go off. Cracks form all over the robot's body, and soon after, it goes kaboom. Parts of it fly everywhere, and this time PK me uses a shield charm to protect us. The force from the explosion is nearly too much to handle.
When the dust settles, all that's left are the five pillars that PK Luke (whose body starts to return to normal) created, and Mitch, lying flat on his face. He's not "Big Mitch" anymore, and has been reduced to a regular Meapian. As he wakes up from unconsciousness, he notices the two other Meapians behind him, draining Cutonium out of his body with the cuteness extractor,
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" he exclaims.
Then, he looks ahead. Standing short and proud in front of him is Meap, and behind him all of us from 524 (minus Shanna, who's off somewhere else) and 525. In typical corny TV show fashion, we're all posing up a storm, either with crossed arms, hands on our hips, or just foul expressions. When Mitch looks up at all of us, his eyes grow bigger and he looks like he's ready to bolt.
My alternate self gives a kurt nod to Meap, who begins walking towards the helpless villain. "It's the end of the line for you, Mtich," he says. "Your reign of terror over my planet and the Multiverse stops here."
"Oh, give me a break," Mitch scoffs, standing up and brushing himself off. "Like I'm scared of any punishment you could give me. What am I looking at, 20, 25 minutes?"
Meap narrows his eyes, grinning. "Oh, we're not handing out your punishment."
Mitch raises a worried eyebrow. "Say what?"
A portal opens behind Mitch. A flying, green alien creature comes through. The creature has a pointed hat, a brown, laced jacket that does a poor job of covering its belly, pointy teeth, a thick snout, and dragon wings. Behind him is a group of animated storm-troopers. What little sense this whole situation made already just got even muddier. A badge on his jacket says I.S.A.L. I remember that as the initials for the organization Meap worked with, the Intergalactic Security Agent League.
"That's right," the flying dragon alien says, possessing a deep and scratchy voice. "By causing damage in other universes, you've become a liability for us to deal with. You remember us, don't you?"
Something about these particular people sends Mitch into freak-out mode. "W-wait, how long is my timeout going to be?!" he exclaims.
Two of the stormtroopers grab Mitch by the arms and hoist him up. He wriggles around, trying to kick at the stormtroopers, but his tiny little legs can't reach far enough and he's too weak to break free. "Longer than you would like," one of them replies.
"So long, Mitch," Meap sneers, mock-waving.
The stormtroopers carry Mitch back through the portal. He continues to fight against them, shouting, "Wait, no! You can't let them do this! Let go of me!" The last thing we hear from him before he vanishes through the portal is a shouted, "MEAP!" after which his voice fades away. For the first time in nearly 30 hours, I'm able to loosen up the tension in my body. Mitch is gone. We beat him.
Meap approaches the alien, telling him, "Thank you for stepping in, Blatto."
"Our pleasure," Blatto responds. "It was nice of you guys to let us show up again."
