Loyd:Oh my, what a pity. And here I was, thinking her inability to serve me to my satisfaction was the limit of her uselessness. I guess it's my fault for thinking so highly of her. But on the bright side, she proved to me that she could be more useless than I thought. Now she shows up with a dislocated knee, it would be an insult to be seen with such an imperfection by my side. I guess I have nothing doing with her. Hm... She's no longer beneficial to me so you can do whatever you want with her, softie. I couldn't care less if you take her in, just do as you please.
And just like that, I lost it. I attacked Loyd but his friends got in my way. I managed to beat three of them but the remaining six beat the living shit out of me. I fell to the ground and the fattest of them sat on my back as a way of keeping me in check.
Loyd: Hmm... You're quite skilled if you ask me. You managed to beat up Jayson, Richmond and Kelvin. That's a plus on its own so why don't you join my little gang. You can get as many gift cards as you please if you join us.
Me: If joining you guys means abusing people and tossing them away like broken tools, I'd rather spend the rest of my life alone.
Upon hearing my response, Loyd burst into laughter and looked at me.
Loyd:I see, you're playing the hero right? I have no problem with that but remember, even the greatest hero is bound to fail one day. It'll be a burden if you'll be keeping that worthless girl so don't worry, I'll give you more than enough to survive with her in this school. See you later.
Loyd laughed at me one last time and took his leave with his friends. I got some snacks for Maya and took her the infirmary since I also had my luggage there. We were told that we might end up waiting till school hours were over so I told Maya to wait for me at the infirmary as I went to take my room keys.
At the office, I was given a whole bunch of keys instead of just a few. I was wondering what was going on until I remembered loyd saying, "I'll give you more than enough to survive with her in this school".
After taking the keys, I was given a card with my new address printed on it. I went back to the infirmary to get Maya.
