"i missed you," teyana whispered, her face shoved into lori's curls.
her arms stayed tightly wrapped around her girlfriend's waist as they stood outside lori's fashion design class.
teyana decided to get over her fears of mysteriously popping up on her girlfriend and drove those forty minutes to her college.
lori's hands were cradling teyana as she held a bright smile on her face, her cheek resting on the crown of teyana's head.
her soft voice spoke to teyana, "i missed you more, baby."
internally, lori worries about her girlfriend's clinginess.
it constantly struck her like a lightning bolt, but she pushed off asking until they were somewhere more private.
standing off the side of a hallway where anyone could walk past wasn't the best place to have a deep conversation, she knew that much.
the dark-haired girl shifted to pull her girlfriend's face from her neck, each of her palms laying flat on teyana's cheek as she examined her face for the first time today.
she noticed the bags starting to form beneath teyana's lashes and frowned.
"stay with me?"
with quickness, teyana bobbed her head in agreement, and her eyes widened like a kid who was getting the cotton candy their parent promised them.
that brought a tight-lipped smile to lori's face, and she grazed her thumbs across teyana's somewhat brightened face.
she removed her hands from teyana's face, turning around as she reached behind herself to grab teyana's hands.
their cold hands locked and she pushed open the door with her foot.
eyes weren't placed on them as the majority of the class knew about teyana and wasn't, in the slightest, bothered or fazed by this at all.
they knew how eager teyana had been to come to see her. especially lori's roommate.
lori sat teyana down on one of the couches that were a bit of a distance away from the semi-circle in the center of the room.
"we'll be done in a few minutes, baby. can you promise to stay here and just wait please?"
immediately, teyana shook her head no and whispered, "i can't make a promise we both know i'm not gonna keep."
