the sounds of yves saint laurent's heels clacked against the wood flooring and eyes tore from plates, chatter slightly died before conversations slowly picked up and the clatters of utensils against bowls and plates were heard.

from the waitstaff, a woman scurried her way to the poised woman and began quietly rambling,

"good evening, mrs. taylor. is there anything that i can-"

tilting her head with a slight smile, lori shook her head and slightly raised her hand as she continued the way to her destination inside the restaurant.

"are you sure?"

the sounds of the heels stilled followed by a deep sigh before a velvety voice spoke, "yes, i'm sure. move on about your day, ms. moreau."

with that she strolled up the stairs, the paintings catching her eyes as she did so and a bright smile struck upon her face as she soon came face to face with the black framed glass door to her wife's office.

she shook her head as she watched the slightly taller woman pace around the large office with her work phone to her ear and a scowl before yells erupted from her mouth.

entering the well-decorated office, she took her time and sat on the couch, removing her heels before muttering, "butterfly."

teyana let a smile take over her face as she heard her wife's voice and made her way to place a kiss on her gloss-covered lips.

"hi," she whispered against her lips and pecked her lips then shoved her hand in her pocket as she stood to pace in front of lori.

teyana lifted the phone from her ear before placing the speaker by her mouth and hollered into it.

lori calmly called out for teyana and when her wife's attention was still directed toward the phone, she leaned forward to dip her fingers inside teyana's pocket before pulling her closer.

"hang up," she demanded, her face holding a stern look as she kept her eyes trained on teyana's annoyed face.

with a stale expression, teyana rolled her eyes and spoke, "i'm not doing that until i finish saying-"

lori reached up for the phone and snatched it from teyana's hand, hanging up the call after she caught a glimpse of the name.

shaking her head, she locked the phone before resting her chin on her hand as she heard her wife begin to ramble on and on about why she needed to talk to the person on the phone.
