Classes were usual for Emily even Ryder sat with her in math, they talked and talked but she couldn't help get the feeling that there was something wrong, she just couldn't put her finger on it.
"Wanna go to a movie tonight?" Emily asked and Ryder shook his head, "Sorry, gotta help my mom out with the store." He told her and she nodded.
"Right, short of employs." Emily said and turned to walk away, "You know, you could always come work with us." Ryder told her as she walked down the hall, Emily stopped and looked at him.
"I'm ok, I already have a job." She told him and walked away, truth was that Ryder's mom hated her for some odd reason she didn't know.. Emily was never really hated by any parents, she never did anything she wasn't a bad kid she was a plain Jane girl with light brown hair that went down her back, she was tall and skinny but not too skinny and wore only a small amount of make up.. On special occasions that is, she had started wearing contacts last year that made her eyes look blue instead of her original green.
As Emily walked to her class she kept on thinking about different things like Ryder and something feeling out of place and of course, Elaine the girl or her sister.. she didnt know and while she was thinking she bumped into someone she screamed a little and then fell on the floor, she didnt look up she just started collecting her books.
"Sorry." She muttered as the person helped collect some sheets that fell out, "No, I should be the one saying sorry." It was Adrian, Emily sighed.
"What do you want?" She asked and Adrian looked up from the stack of papers he had in his hand, Emily noticed that he had really nice light baby blue eyes.
"Well right now helping you." He said and Emily shook herself out of her thoughts.
"Huh? Oh thanks.." She said wishing she hadn't looked into his eyes, she blushed a bit and got up and Adrian gave her the papers from her book and she took them.
"No problem, hey wanna hang out tonight?" Adrian asked and Emily thought for a second, no way was she going to hang out with him.
"Actually, I have things to do." She said as the bell rang, "Shoot! I gotta go, later!" Emily said as she raced down the hall to her class.
as classes went on Emily had been lost in her thoughts, but soon enough classes ended and it was time to go home she coldn't wait but first she had to go see Elaine she needed answers from her and she needed to know what was going on she walked out and felt a hand touch her choulder, she turned around and seen Ryder behind her she smiled.
"Hey, can I give you a ride?" He asked and Emily nodded, "Yeah, thanks." She said as Ryder smied, in the corner of her eye she could see Jessica crossing her arms and glaring daggers at her, Emily just smiled.
Emily got into Ryder's car and they sped off down the rode, she looked out the window at the scene but the reflection in the mirror caught her eye, behind them was a car she couldn't see the driver but the car was very visible.
"There's someone behind you." Emily said taking her eyes away from the mirror and looking at Ryder who looked into his mirror, "No.. there isn't." Ryder said to Emily causing Emily to look back and sure enough the car was gone.
"But.. Im sure there was a car back there." Emily said confused and Ryder looked at her for a second looking confused and then back at the rode, "Are you feeling ok?" Ryder asked and then put his hand up to her head.
"You are a bit warm." Ryder said taking his hand away, "Ryder, I'm feeling fine." Emily said and looked at Ryder who looked a bit worried.
"It's ok, Em, we are close to your house.. when we get there you should probably get some rest." Ryder told her and Emily sighed, no use in trying.
