Chapter 7

"Ugh what?" Adrian asked hiding the book behind his back, "Let me see." Emily said trying to get the book from his back but he would let her and jerked away.

"This isn't funny, let me see." Emily pushed a bit and Adrian shook his head, "Fine, I can play that game too." Emily said crossing her arms and Adrian smiled, Emily tried grabbing for it again but Adrian swiftly took it back not letting her have the book.

"Fine, I'm going back to studying." Emily said in defeat then walked off, Adrian knew he had to keep a better eye on her, he sat back down and took a glance at her then looked back at the book on the table in front of him.

After a few more pages Adrian gave up and sighed, it was now use trying anymore but that amulet had to be something. He closed the book just as Emily was walking back over.

"Hy I'm gonna start going soon wanna come with me?" She asked and Adrian nodded, he got up from the table and started walking but looked back then glanced back at Emily, she was still walking so he raced to get the book and stuffed it in his bag then joined Emily.

"Ooh! What's this!" Genevieve said reaching out for the amulet that stuck out of Emily's bag, Emily's hand came and slapped Genevieve's.

"Stay away from it." Emily said grabbing the amulet from her bag and stuffing it in her pants pocket, "Don't be us ha hog, I only want to look at it." Genevieve said crossing her arms.

"And keep it and soon Jessica will see it and want it." Emily said and Genevieve stared at her nails, "No she won't, she has other jewelry." Emily looked at her sister and raised an eyebrow.

"It was only that one bracelet!" She complained and Emily crossed her arms over her chest still looking at her sister, "And those earrings." Genevieve said and Emily started tapping her foot.

"Fine! And that locket but Jessica totally looks cute with them." Genevieve said and Smily rolled her eyes, "No she didn't, it was only because she wanted your stuff Jenny." Emily said and Genevieve sighed.

"Fine, maybe she did but its Jessica ok." Genevieve said walking out of Emily's room and down to her own. Emily smiled at herself and sat down on her bed taking the amulet out of her pocket and examining it.

It was a beautiful jewel, with this she could have Ryder all to herself without Scarlet or Jessica ruining it; but the real question was, could she wear it forever? She couldn't possibly, one day it would rust up and then Ryder wouldn't want her.

Emily thought for a long period of time before her mother soon called for supper, Emily decided to put her amulet under her pillow and ran down stairs. Super was pretty much boring all her family talked about was work and school, nothing too exciting at all and Emily didn't even talk much all she wanted to do was get her homework done and get some sleep.

After supper Emily took out her science and started taking notes for tomorrow's test they had, they were working on cellular plant mechanisms which Emily took no time in even listening to she knew she had to but she didn't bother she only does the work. After she finished a few pages of notes she closed her paper of notes in her science book and her science book in her bag then started putting her pyjamas on.

*Emily walked down a darkened hall, she didn't know where she was going and her dress had been ripped luckily, it was cheap. She looked all different ways hopping not to see one of those monsters pop up.

"Hello?" Emily called down the hallway after hearing something but quickly regret it when she heard foot steps sprinting her way, she started running down the hall and turned looking back to see Adrian, he doubled over breathing heavy.

"Adrian!" Emily said running over and helping him, "I think they are all in the gym now." He said standing up, his lip had been torn a bit and his tux ripped a lot.
