BEING THE OLDEST SUCKS

Whenever my sister (who is 11 and old enough to take responsibility for her actions) forgets to do her chores or pick up her trash guess who gets blamed. Not her, the person that made the mess. But I get blamed because I'm the oldest and I guess that magically means that she is going to listen to what I say and pick up her mess.

Sometimes I think as soon as a child is over 12 the parent suddenly loses all trust in said child and it is without valid reason might I add. Because I am a straight A student and have never even been in trouble at school AND I respect my mother.

What do I get... Nothing but mistrust and emotional neglect.

Ever since my 13th birthday I have been getting blamed for everything. Scince I turned 13 my mom thinks that everything that comes out of my mouth MUST be a lie because I'm a teenager. News flash! Not all teens lie! I was raised better than that and she should know because she was the one who raised me. Parents say that TV has had too much impact on children's minds but it has just as much impact on adults. Because apparently to adults every teen acts like the bratty lying ones in movies.

But what I hate the most is that they tell us that we can talk to them about anything but if you try to address the "why do you always think I'm lying " issue even if you do it in a respectful way, they think you're getting an attitude. And you're just sitting there like "what did I do I thought I could talk to you about anything".

But does the little sister get this treatment NoOo, she gets nothing. Even though my little sister is the spawn of Satan and always gets in trouble at school. She gets excused from chores and doesn't even get in trouble when she brings home a report card with all D's and Fs.

Message of this rant is ~being the oldest/a teen SUCKS ARSE!
