One thing that really pisses me off is the whole calling all black people in the U.S. African Americans. Most of us have never even been to Africa. A true African American is a person who was born and raised in Africa and moved to America later on in their life. I myself am constantly called an African American. That label just makes it seem like I am less of an American than other ethnicities. So What if I'm black. I'm still an American. I'd rather be called black than African American. At least then the label I'm being called is true. Even on government forms they call blacks African Americans. They call Caucasians whites why not call them wherever their ancestors are from + the word Americans. Another thing that pisses me off is that they assume all black people in America originate from Africa. My ancestors are Jamaican, why do I have to call myself something I'm not just for the sake of closed- minded people who don't want to differentiate between black people when there are hundreds of names for different Caucasians.
I have absolutely nothing against white people though. Hell! My wife is white, and I just so happen to be an Oreo. I just feel that they should treat all races the same, and that there should be no such thing as minorities.
IF YOU WERE BORN IN AMERICA, YOU ARE AN AMERICAN!
*unless there's legal crap involved that I don't feel like explaining*
