I had a moment to relax before the lunch hour arrived. We were sitting at the same dining place, and compared to yesterday, Chloe was feeling much better and was sitting next to me, along with Celine who was also happy, knowing that her concerns were resolved.

As the group talked, I began to wonder who I should spend time with next.

"Oh, right, I almost forgot to mention." Veyle said. "There's going to a ballroom dance tonight."

"A ballroom you say?" Citrinne responded.

"Oooh, we're gonna have a chance to dance?" Timerra asked. "Do we have any volunteers?"

"You might wanna count me out." I replied. "I'm not a good dancer at all."

"But how do you know that?" Panette asked.

"Because mine is the kind of dancing that would get be banned from any dancing stage."

"I find that to be quite preposterous." Citrinne disagreed. "If I recall, you were caught dancing the night away with your legs in the air a few months ago."

A few sweats dropped from my head. "That was just your imagination! Anyway, is there anything else?"

"Yes. The dancing will also be a contest." Veyle replied. "The winning couple will receive a ballroom trophy, made in shiny gold."

"Did I hear shiny gold?" Anna asked.

"Okay, I'm going to have to keep an eye on you, later." Saphir said.

"Awww, it was just a joke."

I frowned. "Yeah, I don't think you actually were."

"And if anyone wants to take part, they have to sign on a form, inside the ballroom building." Veyle said. "So you might wanna get there quick if you want to dance."

"Well, I'll be the first to sign up." Citrinne said. "As long as I can get a dance partner, of course."

"A chance to dance and show off my cute prowess?" Rosado's eyes sparkled. "I need to find a partner right away!"

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Goldmary asked.

"Oh, it's just to dance. I don't plan to show off too much of my cuteness."

"You're as ambitious as ever." Hortensia said. "I wish I could dance with someone."

Why did she look at me when she asked that?

"What about you, Lapis?" Citrinne asked.

Lapis was looking down before she was called. "Oh me? Maybe not...excuse me, will you?"

She then got up, laughing a little and dashed off.

"Why did she leave so quickly?" Ivy asked.

"Perhaps she's troubled over an issue." Jade guessed.

"Maybe something happened and she needs time alone." Merrin said.

I saw Citrinne sighing and looked down, I have a feeling she knows what it is. I guess I can hit two birds with one stone here and hope it works out well for both sides.

"Well, if you want, Citrinne. Could you teach me a little?" I offered.

"Oh, you want to dance with me?" She replied.
