William was sitting in his office alone. Freddy's was closed today, which meant that he and Henry could have the place all to themselves. They never had enough hours in the day to get their work done it seems, so even on weekends they spent their time at Freddy's.

It's not like they had much of a life outside it anyway.

A knock at the door broke William of his concentration. He knew it was Henry, it had to be. They were the only ones in the building.
"Come in," he called simply, putting his work aside for a moment.

Extremely unsurprisingly Henry walked in, "Hey Will, you got a moment?" Only Henry called him that, and only Henry got away with it. William hated being called Will by anyone else, but Henry was his best friend after all.

"Yeah, sure," William said, "I need a break anyway," he gestures to a pile of paperwork on his desk that he had been working on all morning. He could spare a few minutes to talk.

Henry sits in the chair across from William's desk with a small huff, "Who would've thought running a fast food chain with singing robots would be so hard?" he asks sarcastically, William gave a short chuckle, "I enjoy the work, it keeps me busy,"

"Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it too, I just wish I had more free time," Henry looks down and smiles, he then perks up and looks at William. "I gotta ask you, what do you think of Y/N, the new hire?"

The question caught William off guard, he wasn't expecting to have to talk about Y/N. There was nothing odd about the question, he knew that. But Henry didn't know how obsessed with Y/N he started to become.

"Y/N? She's wonderful," William answers simply, hoping to get off the subject. He could Henry lots of things, but not this. He knew it was strange to have feelings for the girl, he barely knew her. Plus she's a whole 10 years younger than him

How could he tell Henry the truth about that?

"Yes, she is! I've known that girl since she was still in high school you know, she and Jeremy have always been clung at the hip." Henry laughs, "It's almost like I hired her when I hired Jeremy 9 years ago, I'm happy she's part of the official team."

William hated the mention of Jeremy. He hated Jeremy. He always found him a bit bothersome but seeing how close the two were only made him dislike him more. Ever since William moved to this location he heard about "Y/N and Jeremy". Fritz speculated they were dating, Smitty in the kitchen assumed they would hook up, and even the Jainitor Chris had his speculations about them being in some sort of relationship.

Truly, William was not one to feed into gossip nor pay attention to it, but once he saw Y/N he had a face to put with the name. A very beautiful face at that.

"I've heard her and Jeremy are close," William said as nonchalantly as he could. As much as he hated to admit it, he was jealous. He hated the word, "jealous", in his opinion it made him weak. To be overcome by an emotion like that. William was good at keeping his emotions at bay, he felt out of control as he was overcome by jealousy.

"Close is an understatement, I wouldn't be surprised if the two get married! Wouldn't that be sweet?" Henry was painfully unaware of how his words were affecting William. To Henry, his words were harmless, innocent banter.

"Hmm, yes it would be rather sweet, wouldn't it," he murmured, looking away slightly, "Do you know why they're so close? I'd love to hear the story," He clenches his teeth as he talks, trying to sound as light-hearted as he could.

"No actually," Henry scratches behind his neck, "I don't, but I'm sure you could ask Y/N! She's great at conversation, she's a funny girl, really. You'd get along with her,"

William felt a small smile etch at his lips.
"He thinks we'd get along," he thought to himself. Just the thought of talking with her, getting along with her, being close to her, made him smile.
"I'll keep that in mind, she seems like an interesting girl." William looks over at his paperwork from earlier and sighs slightly, "I hate to cut our conversation short, but if I don't get these done by 4 I'll miss the deadline,"

Henry checks his watch, "Oh yes! Sorry I took up your time Will, I just wanted to know your opinion on Y/N, that's all. We haven't got a chance to talk since she was hired."
"Of course, of course, have a good day Henry" William grabs his pen and began filling out his paperwork again.

Once Henry left his office he immediately dropped the pen and lets out a small groan, slouching back in his chair. He was incredible at masking his feelings, but Y/N made him feel like he was out of control. She took up his mind 24/7 as if it was hers, and he's barely spoken to the girl.

He puts his head in his hands and sighs, knowing he was going to get no work done at this rate.

Mind full of Y/N.
