Rain rain go away come again another day

A day when it isn't just Y/N and William by themselves in the pizzeria.

Let's back track

It was the dreaded Monday that Y/N had been wishing to put off since the weekend, because now she had to face William.

"What the fuck was I thinking?!" was the only thought she replayed over in her mind on loop like a broken record. As much as William was thinking about her, she was thinking of him too, or rather the situation.

Her hands were gripping the steering wheel so hard she left small indents in the leather from her nails. God, how she wished she wasn't on this fucking planet right now. What was William going to say? What do you say to someone after that?

Her lips were practically bloody from all the biting shes done on them the whole ride from her house to Freddy's. What makes this scenario worse?

She and William were going to be the only ones there.

Because of course, that's just her luck.

Freddy's decided since the weather forecast was rainy it was a good day for a "staff catch up day". Meaning, any work the staff was behind on could be accomplished that day. She wont even have Jeremy for emotional support because he was out of town for his cousin's softball game that day.

And nobody else had any work to catch up on except she and William.

"The universe must be having a great laugh right about now..." she muttered under her breath as she saw the pizzeria approaching closer. She pulls into the parking lot and lets out a drawn out sigh once she parks by the front.

Mentally she prepared on what she could say to William. In this situation maybe the truth is the best answer. "I was drunk, I'm sorry," was about the only thing that came to mind. But maybe that wasn't the whole truth, maybe she meant some of what she said.

God this was confusing.

Jeremy swears up and down that Y/N must have a thing for William, but Y/N never came to terms with that. In some weird way, she was too scared to. William was an attractive man, a bit older than her, but that didn't make him any less attractive.

It was very apparent he took excellent care of himself.

It's not like she object fucking him or anything.

It's not like he would be the worst person to date.

She blushed at her thoughts and leaned her head against the steering wheel. "This isn't helping me stay calm, like at all," she hissed to herself before taking a deep breath and grabbing her bag. She would just go in head first and get this over with!

Confidently she walked towards the front doors, scanning the parking lot to see if William was here yet.

Unsurprisingly he was. Oh boy.

She grips the metal handle on the door and pulls the door open. The empty pizzeria sent a chill down her spine, it was freezing inside. The faint sound of typing at a keyboard could be heard from the direction of William's office. The pizzeria was so quiet even the tiniest sound could be heard.

So she was sure William heard her enter.

She clutches her bag closer to her body and walked towards his office, hyping herself up as she walked. Once she met the door she took a deep breath and knocked on the mahogany. "William it's me," she said at a conversational volume, she was sure he would have no trouble hearing her.

"Come in," he called to her, the typing of his keyboard continued as he spoke. She sighs a bit and opens the door coming face to face with the man whom has drove her mad the past weekend. There he was, in the flesh.
