Rough patch

Morgan's pov

Like always we had our nightly FaceTime after my concert and I knew Bailynnd was done with work, she answered as usual but she seemed different, she seemed panicky and was really irritable. I tried asking what was wrong but all I got was "nothing don't worry about it I'll be fine," obviously she wasn't but I didn't want to make things worse than what she was already going through. I told her to call me back when she got home so that she could focus and just calm herself, with just a half smile that seemed force she hung up.

She called me once she got home and settled in bed, I could feel a small change in her also, like she had been crying but again I wasn't about to ask. Whatever was bothering her was literally killing me knowing she's hurting, wishing I could help I just sat there in silence as she just stared into the darkness and very seldom talked. She told me she hasn't slept good in about week and all she can do is just think then cry herself to sleep, trying to stay strong but knowing she was hurting hurt me more.

I told her I loved her and decided to let her try to get sleep, as bad as I wanted to stay up with her I felt she was better off being alone with her own thoughts.

"What's keepin' me up all night is knowin' what's keepin' you up all night, since I ain't the one holdin' on to you, I'm holdin' on for dear life.It's a whole 'nother level, girl, even the devil don't know this kind of hell." I messaged before I fell asleep

I woke up the next morning to Bailynnd calling, crying but in a different way than last night.

"Im sorry about last night, truth is a guy I dated long time ago came into work, noticed me and tried talking to me and wanting me to go out with him. He was abusive and I almost died one night when he got mad because I was at work and didn't text him back. I know I should talk to you but I don't want this part of my life to be an issue like you'll have second thoughts, I love you I'm sorry I woke you up I'll let you go back to sleep I'll talk to you later."

A couple hours later I woke up noticing I was a little late for rehearsal this one was the big one because it was the last one before I headed back to Nashville and see my girl again, I scurried through the bus and into the arena with a few minutes to spare I decided to call Bailynnd.

"Hey what's up? Why are you out of breath? Are you okay?" She questioned

"Awe yeah I'm fine just a smidge late for rehearsal no biggie, but I just wanted to see if my girl was better and feeling herself again?" I huffed

"Yeah I'm fine, I also found out what you texted me was one of your songs and iv been listening to it on repeat all morning." She grinned

"Hey as long as I can always make you feel better during a bad time I'll send you any song lyric I have, but I have to go rehearse I'll let you get back to getting ready for work or girls day I hope you have a blast I can't wait to see you in a couple days."

The whole time I was rehearsing all I could do was think of was she having a good time, was she okay, counting down the days hours and minutes till I could be with her. Touring is fun and all but being away from her months at a time sucks, that's when it hit me what if I asked her to go out with me I can plan it to where she meets me close to her go out on the road and bring her back to the next closest concert spot and fly her back or pay for a way to get her back home.

I couldn't find my phone fast enough "hey question you don't have to answer right now but just something to think about and give you plenty of time to get it all figured out with work and everything, what if I brought you out on tour with me? We can leave from one of the stops closest to you and when we get back to the next closest I can fly you back home or have a driver take you."

"Wait are you serious? You really want me out there on the road with you? For who knows how long? I mean I have been pulling extra hours and helping out a lot more I can see if I can take some time off my gm is pretty chill so I shouldn't have a problem, actually I can extend it from when I leave tomorrow for Nashville." She replied

When I tell you my heart sank when she was so eager to go out on the road with me, I started thinking of places to take her to see and eat. I couldn't stop thinking this time tomorrow my girl will be here watching me rehearse and then perform again on stage and to be able to look out this time and see her sitting here enjoying herself with me.

"Hey so I decided since I already have tomorrow off I'd just head up tonight and check into my hotel earlier and hang out there till your get here." 

"No no I'm already in town we got in early just come find the bus you can chill in here unless I can get you a backstage pass then you can just come back and hang out while I'm busy."
