EPILOGUE

The recent incidents were largely unreported. All records were buried by the police and the explosion was termed as a freak accident due to some fuel issue.

There were some efforts made nation-wide opposing the recent authorization of drone strikes. The cult still operated in the fringes. Dave quit it. Dave had done his part sensing the threat Daniel posed, but with Aron gone, he could finally be a free fully free man. He swore to resume his police career with utmost diligence. Mark had no use for it after Daniel's passing.

Mayoral election campaign went on as usual. Combating crime was again a hot topic. Always the easiest. Boogey-man tactics never failed.

Kelly continued going on private detective cases. Collin gladly took the secretary job as they eagerly look forward to the new phase in their careers.

Mike relocated over to Clara's place out of state for a temporary retrieve. He needed to get away from the depressing town. He intends to stay there till everything settles down. Clara's merch sales yielded enough money to set up an interim makeshift office for his counselling work. He promised her to pay back once business flourishes and they are able to go back. Moreover, now that she knows that he has unusual abilities, he can finally be able to reveal his feelings. They had to cancel the planned event for clinic renovation, but the donors offered full support nevertheless.

Jaimie was taking legal advice for the mansion incident. As Mark's finger print was identified amongst others, as a prison breakout, they were going at it from a self-defense angle. The security staff at the mansion corroborated that Jaimie was indeed trying to protect Alex. Morell had recommended his pardon for cooperating with the investigation regarding Morgan. Judy continued her job and plans to open a boutique shop someday.

Will tried to move on. He was focusing on the internship that he had right now. Aron's threat, Victor's death and the Magnus motors incident haunts him every day. Jaimie offered him a visit once a week in his new place. Will has spent almost all he had on security gadgets and was borderline paranoid about it.

Mike volunteered to do in-call consultation twice a week which he had to mandatorily attend. He will be offered in person therapy with Mike's abilities once he was back. Jaimie frequently iterated to not turn himself over in current circumstances and enrolled him in charities for the time being if he needed solace.

All of them were filled with fear in their minds and uncertainties regarding their future. Every time they passed a demonstration asking for revelation regarding freaks with powers, they had to regain their composure. They will never know how the now soft-spoken neighbors would react if they were to be outed someday or if their powers manifest beyond their control. But life had to move on. They all needed to dig into themselves and find something to keep their sanity. Life is only as meaningful as one makes it to be. Maybe sometimes, it needs to get worse to get better. Time would be the answer for everything.
