Let fate take the lead

After long hours of flight, Roseanne and Jisoo finally landed in New York. After getting their luggage, the two rushed out of the airport. They shoved their luggage into the trunk of the Taxi that was parked just outside the airport waiting for passengers. Roseanne's bag goes to the passenger seat at front, beside the driver. After the luggage was secured, Jisoo and Roseanne, get into the back seat

-Where to?- asked the driver as soon as the two settled in their seat

-Yeah, where are we going? - said Jisoo with excitement in her voice.

-Uh, okay take us...- Roseanne, leaned forward closer to the driver

-Anywhere in New York

-Excuse me?- the driver asked, confused and so as Jisoo

-Anywhere. Wherever you feel like going- said Roseanne, she looked at the driver with sincerity in her eyes

-That's not a destination, lady- the driver seemed to get be annoyed, by Roseanne's request He somehow raised his voice.

-If you are just about pranks and playing games young lady, better get the fuck out of my cab!- the driver said, looking at the both of them in backseat through the rearview mirror

-Wait. wait. You didn't make reservations?- Jisoo leaned closer to Roseanne's face as she question her

-Um..Okay, Jisoo? Please don't get mad at me. okay?- Roseanne shift her position, she is now facing Jisoo, holding her arm, ignoring the fuming taxi driver

-What?- Jisoo looked at Roseanne, still figuring out what the hell is happening. Then all of a sudden it clicks. Jisoo's eyes widens when she slowly realize what really was going on

-Oh, no. I cannot believe this.- Jisoo said, she shakes her head, disappointed and pissed as she got tricked by Roseanne

-I need a borough here, ladies.- said the driver who cannot hide his annoyance in his voice

-Look, I was gonna tell you when we got on the plane, but you slept like a baby the entire flight, I didn't had the chance to...- Roseanne explained but Jisoo cuts her off

-You know what? That's very sneaky of you, Roseanne.-Jisoo open the door of the taxi, and she hurriedly  get out, took her luggage at the back of the cab, and walked straight back inside of the airport

-I'm not a bloody psychic! - the driver shouts, but no one is paying attention to him

-Jisoo, wait! please. Wait!

Jisoo just walked straight without looking back at Roseanne who is desperately calling her out. Even though she was struggling with carrying her luggage as it was heavy for her, Jisoo manage to carry her bag right back inside the airport before finding herself some baggage cart. Roseanne followed her through, she just told the driver to hold on for a second and that she would pay him double. The driver throw his hands up in the air, and scratch his bald head in frustration. Roseanne managed to catched up with Jisoo. She grabs her arm to stopped her in her tracks

-Jisoo, please..

-You tricked me, and that's not cool. And above all, you know how much I hated that.

-But I knew you wouldn't come if I told you the truth. And I needed my best friend here. please

-What are you doing exactly Roseanne? huh?- Jisoo snapped, she raised her voice a little, earning a quick look from strangers inside the airport

- Honestly, Rosie? I really don't understand you anymore, okay?- Jisoo swallowed a lump in her throat. She looks at Roseanne, who is biting her lips, trying not to cry

-Please, tell me something. Tell me anything that makes just a little bit of sense. - Jisoo continued. Roseanne looks so lost. A tear dropped from her eyes, down to her cheek. Roseanne's knees gave up, as she flops down to the floor, she sits right there and then. She puts her hands on her face. Jisoo, took a deep breath and sat beside her sobbing best friend. She tapped Rosie's back, to calm her down, which Rosie did, few seconds later, when her sobs dialed down, Roseanne speaks

-I've just spent the entire flight staring into the sky. Watching the day turns into night, night into day, thinking. Not about my fiancé, but about this mystery girl I met million and a half hours ago. Someone I don't even remember, except for this vague picture I have inside my head. It was just a few seconds. A fragment really. And it was like...- Roseanne took a short deep breath, she closed her eyes for a few seconds, then open them, she looks at Jisoo, with tears lining in her eyes. Jisoo who is also looking back at Roseanne, listening to every word her bestfriend is saying

-It was like in that moment, the whole universe existed just to bring us together. That's why I'm here. That's why I'm gonna let fate take me wherever it wants to go. Because when all this is over, at least I'm never gonna have to think of her ever again. Let's just pray she's a fascist who picks her nose and wipes it under the car seat.- Roseanne, wiped her tears away, stood up and picked up Jisoo's bag with ease, throw it over her shoulder and pulled the other luggage behind her, as she walks away, back out to the airport, back to the taxi, and back to that driver that may or may not be possibly or absolutely boiling in anger. Roseanne didn't wait for Jisoo, but she hopes that her best friend would follow her. She just walks out again those two double doors, and climbs back into the backseat of the taxi. Hi, I'm sorry for the delay, I've promised that I'll pay you extra and that I would do, don't worry, but could you hold on just for a little bit more? please?- Roseanne asked the driver, who just shrugged, and just went back to reading his newspaper. Roseanne anxiously waits for Jisoo, which she is not sure if she followed her or not. She looks out at the doors of the airport, wishing and hoping that Jisoo will come out in one of those doors again and join her. A couple more minutes passed, a grinning Jisoo just waked out to one of the doors, Roseanne was looking in to. Roseanne smiled widely as soon as she saw Jisoo, walking up to her, and now climbing in to the taxi. Roseanne hugged Jisoo tightly. It almost took them a solid minute before they broke the hug, as they hear the driver cleared his throat.

-Where ya goin? Are we leaving here? or you two just gonna hug? if so, feel free to do that out of my cab.

-You better be buying me one friggin' big birthday cake, that's all I gotta say.- Jisoo said as soon as they broke the hug. She crossed her arms into her chest, and leaned back to her seat. Roseanne smiled widely

-Can I get you're destination please, and please say a proper place now- the driver asked again, he raised his voice a little bit louder for them to hear him

-The Waldorf, I guess- Roseanne just blurted it out

-Finally she gets it- Jisoo claps her hand in glee

That was a quick taxi ride. The driver manage to stay clear from traffic, Now Roseanne and Jisoo found themselves checked in at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel. They just settled their bags into their room, changed some clothes, and they head out, letting fate take its course and lead them wherever they might be.

-Okay, we are going... that way- Roseanne pointed to her right, which she took right away, Jisoo following just behind her.

-Yes, okay, I'm just going to follow you
