-Come on, you can do it yourself. Just open up the computer and look into it. - Jennie said to a one skinny guy with round glasses. Jennie and Lisa followed what the old man employee suggested and they went to the leasing company, to get more information about their mystery girl named Roseanne.
-I'm not even sure that I can give you this information- said the skinny guy to Jennie, who is somehow feeling shy
-Yes, you can. Why can't you?- Jennie asked, she leans closer and bats her eyes to the guy, who instantly turned red
-I... I don't really work here. I'm just a temp, okay? I don't know the rules. - the guy scratches the back of his head
-Couple of months out of college, you're acting like you're part of the establishment- Lisa said, without looking up from her phone.
-No, no, no. no. that's not it. What about privacy law? huh?- the guy looks like he is about to cry
-Forget about privacy laws. You know what privacy laws do?- Jennie interjects, she moves a little bit more closer to the guy now
-No- the guy answered in small voice, he lowered his head to hide his blushing cheeks
-They protect millionaires. Do you know who those millionaires are?
-Who?
-Tell him who they are?- Jennie, nudged and looked at Lisa. Lisa looks up from her phone before she answers
-Kids your age. Pimple-faced college dropouts who have made unhealthy sums of money, forming internet companies that create no concrete products, provide no viable services and still manage to generate profits for all if its lazy, day-trading, son-of-a-bitch shareholders. Meanwhile, as a tortured member of the disenfranchised proletariat, you find some altruistic need to protect these digital plantation owner?- Lisa said in one breathing
-Wow, Lili? where did that came from- Lisa winked at Jennie, then stared back serious at the guy
-Now dude, come on? Just this once.- Jennie puts her hand over the hand of the guy. Jennie's boldness made him even more shy, as he gets redder and redder, he looks like his going to pass out, the guy even looks like he's going to hyperventilate.
The guy took a couple of deep breaths, he pulled his hands slowly out of Jennie's hands. He smiled shyly
-Just the name of the tenant? What month was this? and What year?
-It's uhm approximately seven years ago from now and uhm month of December to be exact.- Jennie filled in the information needed
The guy, then turn into his computer and searched away through their record. few clicks and clacks of his keyboard. He looked closer to the monitor as he pressed a couple more keys and...
-There's your tenant. Sebastian Mig-non?- the guy turn his monitor screen to the side so Jennie and Lisa could see
-Sebastian Minion?- Jennie said, her voice sounds like asking a question
-No, Mignon. its French- said the guy, correcting Jennie
-No, were looking for someone named, Roseanne in that apartment, You sure you got the right one?- Jennie asked, her brows furrowed
-Maybe he was her boyfriend.- Jennie, tilt her head to the side, thinking. then she let out a deep exhale
-That's. Hey, you did the right thing. Really, you did. - Jennie, stretched out her hands, offering to shake, which the guy instantly took, and shake Jennie's hand firmly
-Good work pal- said Lisa, right after she stood up
Lisa and Jennie, walked out together
-M-I-G-N-O-N. Tell me you got it?- Lisa was talking at someone in her phone. Jennie leans closer so she could hear
-You got it? Really? oh, there you go. Thank you so much Sally. You gotta love her
-Where? where? where?
-Brooklyn.
Lisa stopped for a moment as she sends a text to someone. Jennie got caught in between of a man and his Dalmatian, the leash got tangled in her leg.
-Let's grab a subway.- Jennie looked down, she smiled at the sight of the dog, while the fur parent, pulled the leash
-Wait a minute. just wait.- Jennie now, sits and started to pet the Dalmatian who also greeted her with excitement.
-Aren't you forgetting about something? - Lisa asked Jennie, who clearly doesn't have a clue what she's forgetting
-What?
-Wedding rehearsal?, Your bachelorette party?
-We've got plenty of time. There's plenty of time.
-Are you sure?
-Yes, yes. we gotta go to Brooklyn. Lets go.- the dog jumped up and down the moment Jennie stood up. Jennie, leaned one last time to kiss goodbye to the dog. The dog barks happily.
