Slowly, I opened by eyes. As I remembered what happened, I jumped up immediately on my guard. The room I was in was dark and damp with a faint dripping sound. I pushed myself up taking in my surroundings. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I could tell that that room I was in was a cell. The walls surrounding my cell were made of white brick while the floor was a cold, concrete. There was a small bed in the corner underneath a window that had two metal bars in front of it. The front of the cell consisted of the same metal bars, of course they were bigger. When the bars met at the center of the cell, they formed around a white door. I haven't been in a lot of cells in my day, but I found this one to be rather nice.

"Look who's finally awake." A voice said from outside the cell. I recognized it almost instantly. Elias stood, leaning against the wall outside my cell. He looked amused, like he couldn't wait to see my reaction to being locked up. As I continued to look around, I noticed my hands were carefully tied together with a rope that I found to be incredibly scratchy on my wrists leaving a bright red mark.

"Oh no no no." I spoke quietly as the realization hit. This was not good. They really had arrested me. I was locked in a cell, hands tied together. I glared at the male.

"To be fair, we did warn you." Elias said with a chuckle as he stood up straight, crossing his arms.

"This isn't funny." I told him, frankly, trying to contain my anger. Lashing out at him would not help me get out of here any quicker. And right now that was the only thing on my mind.

"Who said I'm laughing."

"I can't be here!"

"Well, you should have thought about that before." Elias shrugged not interested. As I opened my mouth in protest, another body came into view, Banks. I stared at him as he walked up to his friend. They turned their backs to me, clearly talking about something they didn't want me to know about. After a second they turned to face me. I glared at them, it was getting harder and harder to contain my rage. They were killing him.

"You know, keep glaring like that and your face will freeze like that." Banks said amusement twinkling in his eye. His face was swollen from the hit to his nose last night and it appeared that his nose had been re-placed leaving a slight purple bruise underneath his eyes.

"I'm glad you are both amused out there." I mumbled as I moved my self over against the brick wall. I winced as the movement stretched my healing wound. From beneath my shirt, I could tell that my stomach had been bandaged and was no longer bleeding.

"Well, as fun as this is, I have prior engagements I must attend to." Elias said. I watched as he left, then turned my attention to Banks.

"Was this really necessary?" I held up my tied hands.

"We wanted to ensure your safety...and ours."

I raised my eyebrow. "Someone a little scared?"

He chuckled, fumbling with something on the outside of my cell. He pulled down a small white box. "Of you? Not one bit."

I looked up at him, a slight frown still on my face as I tried to process what was happening around me. Banks fiddled in his pocket pulling out a set of keys.

"I can't be here..." I told Banks as I watched him search through his keys. Banks paused looking up at me, his face questioning.

"And why is that?"

I stayed quiet, my eyes looking down.

Banks sighed as his fingers went back to work searching for the key, "Here is the thing, Kya. We aren't the bad guys. Fighting us, is only going to make things worse. I need you to just trust me."
