3rd Person POV:

Long Ago, Far away from Mandalore. Across the stars. The gleaming city of Coruscant, A glowing beacon for all those near it. the bustling city, packed with traffic. the noises of speeders all you can hear. The sun was high and the day was beautiful, the skyline so beautiful. A large building stood proudly on the upper levels.

Through one of the windows of the Temple two brilliant flashes can be seen, a mighty clash and elegance and grace. The shining blue sabers binding in a beautiful dance, the staggering display of Ataru. Two younglings immerse themselves in their training. Nothing but the sound of the saber clashes fill the room.

On the right A small female, smooth red skin and short blue and white lekku, two running down the sides of her head and one to the back, more like medium stubs at her age. Her face was red with cute white spots over her eyes. Her robes flowing in the wind as she effortlessly bobbed and weaved around her opponent. Using her speed and launching from lover positions to bullet upward, using that momentum to overpower her opponent.

The left, the most adorable fair blue ocean skinned twi'lek with cute short  twin lekku stubs  running behind her head. She wore Black sweat pants and plain black vest. The Togruta was a bit clumsier than her her, however, being overwhelmed by their berage of attacks however maintaining a safe distance and keeping a cooler head.

As their sabers got into a final bind, it seemed that the togruta had the upper hand , using her strength to over power the little twi'lek.However.Using her wit and some good timing, she was able to spin herself, stepping to the side allowing the bind to slide behind her.Only to free her saber from its bind and use her momentum to bring her saber around behind her head, over her shoulder and release a thunderous downward slash slamming on the togruta's shoulder.

She yelped at the slight shock of the training saber crashing on her little shoulder. She then sighed in defeat, slumping her shoulders and looking at the floor. She rubbed her injured shoulder and clutched her saber in her other.

"Not again. How do you keep beating me." she looked away embarrassed. The Little ocean colored twi'lek merely smiled and giggled under her hand, she walked over to her friend.''Oh Shaak, it's okay. You'll get there some day." she places a hand on Shaak Ti's shoulder."I suppose so...I just wish I could beat you at least once." Shaak giggled.

The twi'lek laughed."Now don't get too ahead of yourself." she pridefully tilts her nose up and points her thumb at herself, "I'm more powerful than you could possibly imagine."They laugh."Oh Aayla, you never fail to be too cocky for your own good. But go ahead, one day you'll slip...And I'll be there when you do." Shaak suspiciously, darkened at threat last point but Aayla thought nothing of it.

They walk over to the end of the room, until they paused, only now noticing one large male and one small female figure. The larger male figure stood proud, having his arms crossed and his chest puffed out. He wore short sleeve black and yellow robes, nothing to flowing, rather tight for his build actually. His hair a rather awesome looking head of dreadlocks.

The smaller female figure looked very different. A small green figure with pointy ears, a tuft of brown hair and baggy brown robes. While the taller figure looked a lot the size of three Aaylas on their shoulders, the smaller green figure looked about half her current  height. The two girls walked to  a stop.

"Miss me already master Vos?" Aayla took after her master by smugly crossing her arms."Yes cant' go a day without'' he rolled his eyes. After a shared giggle, Shaak Ti spoke up, bowing toward the female."Master Yaddle, what is it you require of me?". Her master looked up to her with nothing but the gaze of a caring mother.

"My Padawan,You show exceptional skill in Ataru, you are a good fighter and an agile warrior. Do not be so hasty to grow up however, it is about the journey...not the destination. Your skills will grow, in time." Yaddle spoke in that soothing tone Shaak had become accustomed to.

Aayla chimed in nudging Shaak. "Yeah, don't be so  eager for another defeat" she chuckled."Hey we're seven to three, I'm catching up." Shaak pouted.Aayla just rolled her eyes as her master chuckled. "Right Shaak." Master Yaddle's communicator went off, drawing their attention."I must go to the council. Good day Aayla, Shaak, Master Vos." and promptly walked out.

Aayla's POV:

I dreamed of that day, its been so long. That was just the beginning of our friendship. We've been on few missions together. Master Vos and I mostly went on covert and somewhat out-of-the-way missions. I never saw a lot of her, or at least as much as I wanted. However, today is different. It's today, our Knighting ceremony. I jump out of bed and imminently get dressed. Before I leave my quarters, I call Shaak.

"Come on, come on, lazy bones." I mumble bouncing on my heels, like A puppy waiting forhis walkies, in anticipation. Shaak eventually picks up and I'm met with her signature morning greeting, a long groan. "Aayla, it's too early, we'll go for nectrose freeze later, I promise." she's so cute when she doesn't want to get up."I'm still holding you to that" I playfully smirk" But have you forgotten today's importance?" I raise my brow.

She jumps at the question, obviously startled. "NO! I didn't forget your birthday did I? I was so sure, I had the gift and everything." She begins to rant. I decide to cut her short, "The knighting ceremony! silly pants!". Silence. The pause continues as she just stares at me like  an Ewok in speeder lights.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" she lets out the cutest squeal, despite her age." I  almost for got, Okay I'll get dressed then, meet you there?". "Sounds good to me Shaak, I'll see you soon. Kisses"."Kisses". We end the call and get ready. This Is a big turning point in our lives.

Shaak Ti's POV:

Okay, knighting ceremony, yes. I get ready and fling my cloak over me and sprint out of my qauters. As i run I avoid a few people to avoid further delay however as I round the corner my body is stopped, then flung over onto the ground. I'm dazed but look to whom I had pummeled into the ground and see, no one else than my shield sister herself. She is on her butt, legs spread at an angle but mostly she's upright.

She looks at me, and smiles, closing her eyes and rubbing her right Lek."You really need to watch where your going, you know"she giggled. I look away, embarrassed. "I'm so sorry Aayla, its just...It's today!" She helps me up." I know but there's no need to mow down everyone else along the way" she laughs again, making me blush. We come to the ceremonial chamber  to become Knighted.

3rd person POV:

Aayla and Shaak had a close relationship, ever since childhood, growing stronger as they grew up. A bond of sisterhood. One soul, with four arms, two brains. One heart merged from two. They did everything at the temple together, from studying to training even spending r and r time in each others company.

They knew of separation, Master Vos had always been  seen as one to be as far away from the temple as possible for what seemed like forever. While Master Yaddle seemed to enjoy the temple too much. However since their knighting, they've been able to go on missions themselves forging their iron clad bond. Unbreakable even by the force.

It slightly crushed Aayla to know that Shaak was stuck alone on Kamino. Not being allowed to visit, what with this war and all, they call from time to time. However since Shaak had taken master Yaddle's place in the council. Aayla felt more alone now than she ever did.Sad twi'lek.

For the past year, she'd had these feelings of loneliness and depression, but if there was one thing her Master had taught her, it was how to build a mask of positivity and sarcasm. She hated it, but other than Shaak, she didn't want to let anyone else in.She looked out the  temple window into the night sky, in the direction Kamino would be. She let a sad sigh escape. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she looked down at a small pink box with a purple bow on it , with the label, 'Big Sis', then looking back to the stars, searching for...something...anything."Happy birthday Shaak." she quietly sobbed and walked along the big empty lonely halls of the temple.All.Alone.Again.
