Dinner and a Promise

Aayla POV:

The halls of the temple were warm at this time of day. The afternoon sun was cozy, along with the gentle breeze from the air conditioning within the temple halls.As I walk around, the many jedi going about their lives, I can not help but feel content and as if the effects of this war were not playing on my mind.

The trip back from Kashyyyk was wonderful, it was quiet and Apart from a few nightmares, with (Y/N) there to comfort me, it was not an eventful trip.I had come to like the odd uneventful moment, working with Master Vos, while a good time overall, took its toll sometimes.

I knew the feelings I had for him went against the code... but when he held me on Kashyyyk, when we spoke on Ryloth. The time we trained together no longer practice battles but dances.I felt something I had thought I'd lost, something I'd never thought I'd feel again. Shaak and Blake and I were friends, practically siblings, but with (Y/N), it was different.

It also seemed that Barriss and (Y/N) got to know each other better as well.However Luminara still reserved herself. Bly and I had a few moments as well. Everyone seemed calm after the long battle.

When we landed on Coruscant, the morning sun high in the air, it was safe to say everyone was happy to be home. (Y/N) And I stood near the viewing port and looked at the orange glow and traffic flow of the planet.

We looked outside for a moment before gazing at each other. For a long time, I stared into those comforting (E/C) eyes. He took my hand in his and we looked outside again, our fingers intertwined.

The republic yard we had landed in was mostly empty, many other venators on different assignments, a gunship was waiting for us when we landed to take us back to the chancellor to give a report.

From the gunship, once it landed emerged master kenobi, anakin Skywalker and his padawan Ahsoka. As they walked closer to us, we did them. Luminara and barris to my left and (Y/N) and Bly at my right.

"Masters, padawan, general. It's good to see you home again." Anakin said.

-Time Skip-

I, as well as master kenobi, anakin and ahsoka, as well as Luminara went back to the temple to give a report to the council, on our way there I couldn't stop thinking about (Y/N).

Before we got to the chambers, I tugged Obi-Wan's sleeve to quietly call his attention. He looked back to me and saw I averted my gaze, he understood that we needed some privacy and kept to the back of the group.

"Master Secura, is everything alright....?" He asked, in a caring and gentle tone.

"I...I wish to change before I adress the council."

"Alright."

(Y/N) POV:

You walked the halls of the Senate building, the clean interior was a staggering change of atmosphere for you. The many senators and clones roaming the halls all in perfect attire.

Chel walked behind you, roaring and chanting. It was good to be home. After this meeting he was going straight home to see his family, he had missed them too much.

As you reach the chancelors office, you are both greeted by the blue  face and large protruding horns of Mas Amedda, who wore today a red robe.

"Ah, Senator, Sir (L/N), you have arrived. The Chancellor has been eagerly awaiting you." He bows as he steps to the side. He holds out his one arm in the direction of the room, becoming you to enter.

The chancellor was sitting at his desk looking at the holo computer installed in his desk. He seemed to be thoroughly instilled into whatever he was reading. He never heard you coming until you stood at the very edge of the desk.
